“The most honest person. I mistakenly, sent a blank check to the wrong address. He found the correct person and called to let them know he had the check.
Thank gosh that there are still honest people left in this world.“

“This is the first time I am old enough to have been part of a funeral home process. My father passed away a week and a day before writing this. My mother and I could not have asked for a better experience in terms of his service and treatment. Jim and his team made it feel as easy as I imagine this experience could possibly be. We will always be grateful for this treatment.

J. J. Duffy Funeral Home Funeral Services And Cemeteries

“My family recently entrusted J.J. Duffy Funeral Home with the arrangements for my uncle, Donald Connolly, and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience.

From the moment we called, the team responded with professionalism, compassion, and incredible efficiency. Uncle Don was transported from the hospital to the funeral home within about 90 minutes, and we were meeting with Funeral Director Jeff within a few hours to begin making arrangements.

At that point, our emotions were still very raw, and the thought of planning a funeral felt overwhelming. Jeff immediately put us at ease. He guided us through every decision step by step, asking exactly the right questions and helping us focus on what was needed without ever making us feel rushed or pressured.

In a single meeting, we were able to make all of the major arrangements, including selecting the service schedule, church, casket, flowers, prayer cards, luncheon location, and menu. What impressed us most was that Jeff coordinated everything behind the scenes. We did not have to contact the military, florists, restaurants, or the church ourselves. J.J. Duffy handled all of those details, including payments and coordination with vendors, making an incredibly difficult time much easier for our family.

The level of service exceeded anything I have experienced at a funeral home. After our meeting, Jeff sent us a simple link to upload family photos. Those photos were transformed into a beautiful memorial slideshow displayed during the wake, as well as a customized guest book, memorial brochures, and a keepsake blanket for the family. These thoughtful touches turned the service into something truly personal and memorable.

The staff who assisted during the wake and funeral were equally outstanding. They were attentive, caring, and always one step ahead of any need that arose. On the morning of the funeral, Jeff walked us through exactly what to expect for the day, ensuring that everything—from the funeral home, to the church, to the cemetery, and finally to the luncheon—ran seamlessly.

Communication was exceptional throughout the entire process. I prefer texting, and Jeff was always quick to respond to questions, providing reassurance and guidance whenever we needed it.

The funeral home itself is beautiful, well maintained, and welcoming. The large parking lot, attractive grounds, and single-level layout made it especially accessible for elderly family members and guests.

Most importantly, J.J. Duffy allowed us to focus on honoring Uncle Don and supporting one another rather than worrying about logistics. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine compassion made an incredibly difficult week far easier than we ever imagined possible.

I already have pre-arranged funeral plans elsewhere, and after this experience I fully intend to move those arrangements to J.J. Duffy. That is the highest recommendation I can give.

Our family is deeply grateful to Jeff and the entire staff for the care they provided to Uncle Don and to all of us.“

“The death of a loved one is extremely difficult, a very sudden death of a loved one is unbearable. During this terrible time, support by friends and family is paramount punctuated by those external relationships such as the funeral home, florists, the church, and reception venue. I was very fortunate to have a wonderful experience of support from all particularly, by Buma Funeral Homes.

My initial consultation with Dan was flawless. In keeping with tradition, Dan greeted me right at the door, a small yet significant gesture during an emotional time. During the consultation he was professional, organized, and caring. Post consultation, Dan touched base with me several times regarding the cremation, the vessel, delivery of the prayer cards, schedule of events such as the wake and funeral, death certificates, and photographs for a loop to be played during the wake. Proactively, Dan invited me to contact him or the funeral home for any questions or concerns I had prior to the wake.

In great tribute, Buma confirmed my husband's funeral was the largest from the Uxbridge location with over 300+ people attending the wake and 125 cars in the funeral procession. Dan recognized the importance of staying on schedule and arriving to the church on time so he came to me during the wake with time checks, which I truly appreciated. The talented staff at Buma handled the volume with ease, due to the already full parking lot the staff politely directed attendees to park on the street or go directly to the church. Our limo driver was on time, caring, polite, and very professional, so critical when dealing with heightened emotions.

The Uxbridge location is lovely, warm, and welcoming with plenty of chairs to accommodate the mourners. All of the flower arrangements were positioned beautifully, while my husband's portrait was displayed on an easel in a very respectful manner.

In closing, while death is inevitable, the post mortem planning is torture, extremely stressful, emotional, and overwhelming. Working with an experienced staff and funeral home is critical to one's peace of mind. Dan and the staff at Buma helped me get through these emotional moments in a caring and professional manner. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and direction.“

“No words can describe how great this funeral home is. Actually, "5" stars just isn't enough to rate them. They deserve "100" stars. Dave went above and beyond to help our family, during this very difficult time. He went out of his way continuously when we had questions or concerns and kept us focused and calm, no matter what time of day. He took care of everything and was extremely reasonably priced. We are forever grateful. Thanks Dave!❤“

“The entire staff, starting with Sarah, made our family's experience extra special. Sarah kept in constant contact with us and guided us through the entire process. She was extremely sensitive to all of our needs making sure we were happy every step of the way. We had a very full turnout at the funeral home and we never felt that they were rushing us along. They were also with us every step of the way during the Mass and the service at the cemetery. I would highly recommend the services of the Russell Boyle Funeral Home.“
