I got the opportunity to begin training at Mission First last year, and it has been a phenomenal experience. Pat is an awesome instructor, and his classes are structured in a way that maximizes learning techniques while gaining invaluable live rolling practice. Classes are filled with multiple upper belts, including several Black belts who assist with teaching, which gives significant opportunity to experience different styles to continue growing your own game. I've learned more here in a year than all my previous years of training combined. I'd highly recommend taking advantage of training at Mission First if you are local.
I’ve trained at mission for nearly eight years. The environment here allowed for me to develop quickly, compete successfully , and helped my confidence throughout other endeavors. The group of veterans at the gym and new people who come in quickly take to the welcoming and enthusiastic culture and cultivate a wonderful training environment. I’m lucky to have been able to train here and meet such amazing teachers and friends.
I started training at Mission First over three years ago. From day one, it’s been an incredibly welcoming environment, and everyone is willing to help—regardless of belt level. Everyone rolls with everyone, and there’s always someone ready to help you improve or answer questions.
The environment that Pat and his team have created here is extremely rare, and you’d be hard-pressed to find anything like it in any sport.
