“my roommate and partner both recommended this salon to me and they did not steer me wrong. my appointment was with simony, and she taught me so much about my hair. i got a cut and color and it's my favorite haircut i've ever had; i feel more confident than i have in years, and much better equipped to take care of my hair. this salon's priority is maintaining the health and integrity of your hair - i brought an idea of what i wanted (unrealistic, it turns out, to try for white hair when yours is a very dark brown) and simony turned that idea into something that looks fantastic but did not damage my hair. fantastic and knowledgeable stylists, a very welcoming atmosphere, and once youre done you can treat yourself to a pastry next door thanks to their convenient location. love it here!“

“Caitlin did an awesome job with a color correction and cut. I have been struggling to find a hair dresser to do my hair right since the hairdresser I use to use stopped doing hair. I went to others and they continue to damage my hair and kept telling me what I was looking for couldn't be done. I wasn't asking for anything crazy or out of the ordinary but for some reason no one in my area knew what they were doing. I have to travel a bit to get to Impulse Hair Designs but it is well worth it and the girls are such wonderful, very down to earth, and they are a pleasure to talk to. My color and cut is amazing!!! “I have been coming to this spot for a long time now, just under 9 years or so. First, when it was located at the airport plaza, and then when it moved to its current location beside My Favorite Muffin, along Post Rd. (Strange that the GPS still shows the airport plaza location, though.)

This is a no-nonsense, good service, clean spot. The girl who does my eyebrows has been taking care of me since I started going to this location. She is attentive, just-right friendly, and always goes the extra mile to make sure I get the cleaning I seek. On a few occasions, I have also availed of the henna eyebrow temporary shading.

I highly recommend going to this place. There is no membership required. No pressure. All the ladies who work there are very sweet and professional.“
