We can't recommend David at LEVEL UP LLC highly enough. With a home that's over 200 years old, there are going to be Old House Problems... like these windows. With a damaged sill and a design that doesn't work with our window AC unit, they moved to the top of the projects list. David did an AMAZING job, from selecting the windows, tackling unexpected old house issues (like crumbling horsehair plaster), making sure the new sill and trim matched the look of the house, and going way far and above with matching 4 paint colors and repainting (he did the whole wall) and clean-up - you absolutely couldn't tell he'd ever been there, not a spec of plaster dust left anywhere. . . This is the second job David has done for us, and exceeded expectations. He responds quickly, is incredibly fair and open with pricing, and very skilled and detail oriented with a good sense for design (as a bonus, he's just super nice and conscientious, which is huge when you have someone in your home for days). That's all a huge relief knowing that we'll have many projects down the road (and an old house that's prone to curvebals). So yeah, if you or someone you know needs work done, please give him a holler!
I tasked Dave to replace my current foyer with a foyer that not only was watertight and insulated, but was usable as a three season livable space. The foyer in my 127 year old home had many issues including rot, uneven doors, shoddy repairs… the list is endless. Dave designed and created what I would consider a “dream” foyer, always taking into consideration what my vision was and literally rebuilding it from the ground up. His attention to detail, the pride he takes in his work, going above and beyond what I have ever experienced in a contractor was more than impressive. He is a credit to his craft and he is someone I would recommend without any hesitation, in fact, I have already given his number out to a few people who have come by to see his work firsthand.
