I went to Elna Medical Clinique A for a gynecology appointment that I had been anxiously waiting for. At the first visit, the gynecologist ordered a specific second mammography to rule out breast cancer. I already had the follow-up appointment scheduled three weeks later, so I went to a private clinic, got the mammogram done, and they kindly faxed the results THREE DAYS before my appointment.
I walk into the appointment and the doctor tells me he never received the results. I was shocked. I go straight to the reception desk and explain the situation. The staff were immediately rude and dismissive. They literally told me, “If the doctor says he didn’t get it, it’s because the clinic didn’t get it.” Zero effort to check.
I called the private clinic right there in front of them. They confirmed they had sent it three days earlier and immediately emailed me the fax confirmation. I showed the reception the proof. Only then did they “magically” find the results — they admitted the papers had got lost in their files. Complete incompetence.
I was already anxious because these were important results. I politely asked them to let me see the doctor for just a few minutes to discuss the mammogram. Their response? “Your appointment is already finished.” I explained it was a delicate health matter and it wouldn’t take long. I practically pleaded with them.
They refused. Three receptionists, all incredibly rude. One woman (who turned out to be the supervisor) was the worst. There was also a man in his 30s who stood up aggressively and got confrontational like he was ready to fight. They were defensive, hostile, and showed zero empathy. When I pointed out that the mistake was theirs, not mine, they got even angrier.
In the end, I left without seeing the doctor and without any answers about my results. I was in tears.
This is not just bad service — this is dangerous, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable, especially in a medical clinic. The total lack of accountability, the rudeness, and the way they treated a worried patient is outrageous.
I will never return to Elna Medical Clinique A and I strongly recommend everyone avoid this place. If you value your health and basic human respect, go somewhere else. Zero stars if I could.

The walk-in clinic enforced a rule permitting only one health concern per appointment. I was told by the nurse that I had to choose between two skin problems and would need to book another appointment for the second problem.

Also, they did not offer on-site treatment for a common skin problem usually treated by family doctors, and instead gave me a referral to see a dermatologist (meaning I had to wait several months to get treatment).

Called for more than 3 hours (I was initially 8th in line) until the line automatically hung up and then when I called again it said the clinic was already closed…

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Roberto Fernandez for nearly 7 years. Two years ago, at age 40, I went to see him because my periods had become very irregular (every two weeks) and unusually long, and I was also experiencing vaginal dryness.
Without asking me almost any questions, running any blood tests, or doing proper investigations, he immediately declared that I was pre-menopausal and prescribed contraceptive pills. I was shocked by how quickly and carelessly he made this diagnosis.
After doing my own research, I discovered that my symptoms were likely caused by high stress levels affecting my progesterone and ovulation. Once I started managing my stress with supplements and acupuncture, my cycles went back to normal, the vaginal dryness disappeared, and my sexual life returned to normal, without any medication.
I had also followed his advice five years earlier and took contraceptive pills, which gave me severe migraines several times a month. I had to stop them because I couldn’t tolerate the side effects.

It is unacceptable for a doctor to prescribe hormonal medication so casually without proper testing. Contraceptive pills have serious side effects and should not be handed out like candy.
I strongly advise all women to avoid Dr. Fernandez. If you have no choice but to see him, please get a second opinion and never make decisions based solely on his advice.

My doctor requested a 24 months follow up. The clinic refuses to make appointments more than 4 months in advance. When I called to book they told me they won’t see patients after 18 months without a brand-new referral from a family doctor.

So instead of following medical advice, I now have to start over and fight to get another referral just to access the same care. This isn’t patient care—it’s bureaucracy getting in the way of basic healthcare. And we wonder why the system feels so broken.

Please be wary if you're looking to book an appointment with Dr. Fernandez, the gynecologist at this clinic. He's currently on a 3 month suspension for 'traumatic' and 'humiliating' practices. Why this clinic is even allowing him to come back and see patients is beyond me. He was awful when I saw him. Rude, dismissive, talked over me, and minimized my concerns. Truly an awful man. My pap smear was also quite painful, which I've never experienced before. He is the worst, the worst. I think he hates women. This clinic should be ashamed of themselves for allowing him to continue working there.

I had an appointment with Dr. Fernandez. In my experience, doctors can be so dismissive about women’s health and pain but Dr. Fernandez was extremely patient, validating and understanding of my situation. It can be so stressful to discuss intimate issues, but I could not recommend this clinic more! Also it was beautiful haha.

Dr. Tavana and the Nurse forgive me I forget the name we’re both absolutely wonderful and worked with me and my fears of medical procedures and honestly made the whole thing so comforting and pleasant I’m extremely grateful to have been treated here.

I just read the news about the suspension of Dr. Roberto Fernandez gynaecologist and how he mistreated his patients. Seeing these negative reviews, I question why this clinic never addressed his unethical behavior, and why they’re still associated with a doctor who has a suspended license for denying women dignity during treatments. I will not set foot in any place where no one seems to take responsibility for patient welfare.
