Nurses were amazing! Ambulance people amazing. We were there 5 hrs for my toddler who had her 1st seizure. Never saw a doctor. Did witness a lady die waiting to be seen then had a kid who was 8 threatened to kill everyone because he mom wanted to go home. Never want to be in that waiting room again.

Arrived around 10pm to a packed waiting room and a higher than normal volume of security/cops, but I don't know what was going on in that aspect. I went to the desk to signed in which was done in 30sec followed by walking over to the nurses that take your vitals and figure out what you need. I waited in the waiting room for about 15mins maybe before being called to x-rays. That only took 5mins and the tech was very nice. After going back to the waiting room, I was given an ice pack without even asking, which was perfect b/c mine from home was done. A random nurse walking by saw me struggling to get my sweatshirt sleeve back on and helped me without hesitation or my asking her to do it. After about 30-45mins in the waiting room after x-rays, I was taken back and my wrist/lower arm was casted up and I was sent on my way with a most likely broken wrist, told to follow up with the specialist. Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of care from the employees and the time it took. Could've been a lot worse all things considered.

Without notice, Wellspan hospital told us that they would be kicking my 95 year old, disabled mother with dementia out of the hospital within 24 hours and refused to tell us where they would be taking her. My mom is under the Navy and has two insurances. She also was medically unstable and bleeding with an open wound. She could not walk and was in heart afib. What a great hospital! Wellspan is the worst medical group. The social workers and case managers are not your friends!

I went because I am having excruciating back pain, I can barely walk, they gave me Tylenol and said good luck. That's it and excourted me out. What kind of Hospital is this?

Just want to say that wellpan do not take you back to work again with them once you quit. Ive been trying to work i apply and do interviews and they won't give me a job and we are humans we have sometimes personal situations in life that make you quit a job and you have your life back together and they dont give you the opportunity to work with them again. So if you are thinking to apply and this happens to you dont waist your time applying just saying.

I received surgery there and had excellent care unlike some others. They took precautions before surgery with a breathing treatment and did a great job. Usually teaching hospitals are better anyway, I have been in the medical field myself since 1985, now retired. I will never make the mistake of going to UPMC again, horrible treatment. Staff showed compassion and actually behaved like they were around sick and dying people instead of UPMC that acted like they were in a barroom , all the laughing and ignoring patients completely.

They are extremely slow and inattentive. Care is subpar and I feel like I know all the ER staff on a personal level as they stood by my door and talked for a better portion of me being discharged. Can someone help me understand the discharge process and why I had to wait an hour and half after being told I was good to go.

Big Zero. Post procedure. Wife almost died there. Rang for nurses because she couldn't breath. Very slow response let her to ICU. Mis diagnosed for something more serious.

Husband had severe TBI and nurses and doctors were awful. Lack of communication between departments causes lack in care and worst nursing staff ever. I had to stay in hospital to ensure meds were given, he was checked on, no one cleaned room, I had to change sheets, help him to and from bathroom because nurses were too busy texting on their phones or complaining about their patients. HIPPA laws were violated several times. No one seemed to care... I begged for help was was only told, "we're waiting"; "you know it is the weekend and we don't have a full staff", etc. head of trauma talked to me for less than 10 minutes during almost week stay and couldn't get information. NEVER EVER use this hospital. Have your loved one transferred if they are forced to come here. Lack of compassion, humanity, qualified professionals, violated HIPPA laws, and treats patients and family like they are inferior, actually talking negatively and making fun of their patients. Total lack of respect and violation of PA Patient Rights.

if I could put -negative stars I would. labor and delivery. they need shut down.... pediatric unit? Needs demolished. This place was recommended by someone since I'm sorta new to the area. I am on a very tiny dose of medication that "could possibly" show signs of withdrawal in my baby. But again I'm on a dose that is comical (one nurse actually said this). They didn't drug test me or my baby once born so WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TREATING OR WATCHING FOR?? Can anyone tell me that a newborn baby whom is either sleeping swaddled or in the middle of a feed gets taken, undressed, poked, prodded, and then now crying uncontrollably isn't going to be wailing their naked arms and feet?!? But they said, "the book I READ in med school told me that's a symptom????" Weight became a concern. Newborn hit 10% loss, so understandable concern. create plan- half Breast milk half high calorie formula... done. bet weight will be great at next check in... nope not good enough. There were so many other significant issues but to keep this shorter, yeah. no drug testing which is routine for an addict like me who has 10+ years sober, not one doctor or nurse new any basic info about me like how I had a 32 week unknown reason loss there the year prior. Their either understaffed and can't do their jobs properly, or they just effing suck that bad. Never asked for one narcotic or any drug of that sort during my stay. They're getting sued. My lawyer is on it. Don't go there. Google them. In 2023-2024 labor and delivery needed to be shut down to so many issues. The care was just crap due to the experience all in itself.
