I’ve consistently had friendly and compassionate experiences at Planned Parenthood - York Health Center. Before I was able to afford birth control through my doctor’s office, this was my go-to for reliable, affordable care. The staff has always been kind, supportive, and genuinely helpful. I’ve never felt judged — only respected and cared for.
It’s true that there are often protesters outside who can be loud and intimidating. However, there are also dedicated volunteers who stand outside to help walk patients in and provide reassurance. A lady escorted me inside as a man was in my face harassing me at the door. i was getting my nexplanon removed i was very nervous, super friendly staff. Doctor was quick and efficient.
One thing I really respect when it comes to a doctors office is patience and dedication. I saw both these aspects in the office. The lady at the front desk was helpful and really made sure that I could get care even though there was a insurance mess up in the beginning. Online it said my insurance was not accepted by Planned Parenthood but then she called them and ran through some papers to double check, and actually turns out that I was covered by my insurance.When I was taken back by the doctor, she explained everything that she was doing and made sure that I was okay many times, and I respect that highly.She was very kind and did a good job at explaining my procedure.I...read full review
