“In the early 2000s I was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Liver Disease. My liver enzymes (ALT, AST) were elevated. Last year my PCP asked me to go to a liver specialist to see if he could find the reason why I had this condition. I had more tests done, blood test, ultrasound, even a liver biopsy. The same, scar tissues, elevated enzymes and near cirrhosis but not quite yet. The Dr. told me that he wanted me to take Wegovy so I could lose weight and the medication could take fat from the liver as well at the same time. I asked me to give me 6 months to decide. I read a scientific article published in the medical journal that said, the western medicine does not have an answer for that condition, but the Chinese herbs have shown to improve the liver function, decrease inflammation, etc. I contacted Dr. Sheng (I have known her for many years for other issues) and talked to her. She told me she could help me. I started to take the herbs at the beginning of Arpil this year (2026). Two weeks ago, in June, I have a blood test previous to my scheduled appointment with the liver specialist, at the end of June. MY LIVER ENZYMES, WERE NORMAL. Of course, together with the Chinese herbs, I was going to the gym (I always done sport, either running, swimming, rowing, etc.), taking care of what I have been eating - I am vegetarian for more than 40 years - but despite all that the liver enzymes were high. I am very grateful to Dr Sheng for her knowledge, expertise and just being there during the process.”
