1404 Manoa Rd, Wynnewood“I have been using acupuncture for several years now. Honestly, I don't know scientifically what it does, whether it works by balancing vital energy, or if it has some neurological effect, but the best way that I can explain it to people: my body feels like it gets RESET, like a computer. I never felt compelled to write a review, but the reason that I am doing it this time is that I feel that my acupuncturist has taken my treatments to another level. I have been seeing Kirk for a little over a year now and I think that he is the best one that I have ever had. I used to be a little squeamish about the needles (with other practitioners), but Kirk's hand is so light, that I cannot feel it at all. I mean, NOTHING. I used to think previous acupuncturist were good, but Kirk's really good at what he does. I was in a car accident about ten years ago that left me with chronic neck and back pain. It took years of acupuncture and chiropractic care to manage the pain, and almost get rid of it. Every now and then, I sleep the wrong way or move incorrectly and the pain comes back, but I have found that instead of going for adjustments, Kirk gets right to the source with the needles and I am moving normally in no time. What makes Kirk so great is how thorough and attentive he is to your needs and symptoms. This guy was born to be a healer. I always feel like I am in very gentle, caring and professional hands. More importantly, he likes to get to the root of your problems. I had a girlfriend recommend Kirk and since I have been seeing him, I have brought in my teenage daughter and my mother who lives in Texas. She said that she was going to be sure to visit Kirk every time he comes. There is something about how the needles go straight to the places where nerves, muscles, and connective tissue can be stimulated. Maybe this stimulation increases blood flow, or it triggers the body's natural painkillers, but I am a true believer. I highly recommend Mr. Elliot.“

The office is beautiful, calming, and always on time. Maura is super friendly and helpful, too. I came in with a strained lower back, and they got me in the next day—so thorough and truly focused on getting to the root of the problem. Highly recommend!“

She is patient and diligent and is highly receptive of my physical and emotional differences from session to session. I've occasionally gone into a session with random life anxiety, and her practice always helps tremendously-- I leave feeling more calm and life-tolerant than before. I started seeing Susanna for facial acupuncture, but will be staying on for regular acupuncture. Facial acupuncture works, friends!“

1601 Walnut St #1326, Philadelphia“I'm so grateful that I started getting acupuncture treatments with Christopher a few months ago. It's been life-changing, and a variety of my symptoms have already improved drastically, including hormonal issues, extreme fatigue and brain fog, and anxiety. Acupuncture might seem scary to those who have not tried it before, but the needles are extremely light and it's a very relaxing experience. Christopher is very knowledgeable and in-depth with his approach, and truly listens to his clients' concerns. During the sessions, he starts out by sitting with you and asking how you're feeling. Christopher genuinely cares, and his 1:1 approach with only seeing one client at a time makes the experience more comfortable and personal. I've tried another popular acupuncture place in Philly, and the acupuncturist divided his time among different clients at the same time. It was not the type of experience I was looking for and I did not see any positive results, unfortunately. I'm glad I gave acupuncture another shot and I'm glad I found Christopher. The reviews really say it all. From Christopher's approach to his cozy, peaceful office space, I cannot recommend it enough.“

728 S 4th St, Philadelphia“This is just the spa experience I was looking for. I got a facial here and the esthetician gave me great advice for taking care of my skin at home and even wrote it down for me. As soon as I walked into the spa, the receptionist was very welcoming and offered me water as I was filling out the forms and even showed me where the bathroom was if I needed it. The spa room was so relaxing and the esthetician took her time with me. The facial included a scalp, foot and hand massage which I wasn’t expecting. What a nice surprise. Thank you Kay and Drew, I will definitely be back.“

1532 E Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia“The owner, the staff, the treatment specialists are SO accommodating and kind, and you can really tell they value your health and wellness above all else.
Danielle checks us in and makes us feel welcome every time we step in the building. Our Chinese Medicinal specialist and acupuncturist Brittany is AMAZING. Not only is she so gentle and reaffirming in her care, but she’s attentive and warm when discussing treatment for the future and just an amazing human.
I found relief from pain both immediately and in the weeks that followed, and have even brought my partner in for treatment after finding such success.
We are already looking into workshops and additional treatments to help us on our journey, and I’m sure they’ll be amazing.
5 stars- recommend to anyone who needs temporary or long term pain relief.
EDIT 3 months later! —————————
Wow!! They just continue to knock it out of the park over here. They are my main source of pain relief and wellness dealing with my chronic illness and disabilities.
Melanie is the kindest, gentlest soul you’ve ever met, who’s always excited to accommodate or help anyone in need.
Brittany continues to be a fountain of knowledge and compassion and affirming care to help us maintain a balanced and healthy life.
And recently the folks at SPCA have brought on Eric, another talented Chinese medicine doctor, acupuncturist, and herbalist.
I have been through the “Western Medical Ringer” as Eric dubs it, and have been prescribed a pill or a gel or an injection for every symptom only to have my symptoms still often be unmanageable.
Meeting with Eric we went over a detailed account of my symptoms and diseases, and he confidently said an hour later “I’m certain we can help you suffer less, live more, and feel better.”
I’m thinking - Big words. Let’s see what happens.
Within 10 days on the herbs I have markedly improved (20-30%) in so many areas (70% of symptoms). I cannot recommend Eric and his herbalism practice enough. He’s also an expert in deep stimulation acupuncture and electrical stimulation. His treatments combined with Brittany’s continual care have helped me limit the use of previously necessary mobility aids like my cane.
All I can ever say here is thank you! Run don’t walk to South Philly Community Acupuncture.“

“Dr. Sheng is such a blessing! I have been a patient on and off for about 15 years. The reason it’s on and off is because she heals whatever ailment she treats. She heals what the healthcare systems can’t. They always give me the “it’s unknown” why you are experiencing those symptoms. Here, take this pill. Then I deal with side effects of that pill and it doesn’t heal the ailment . Now, whatever issue arises, I come and see Dr Sheng FIRST because I am certain that I will be healed in the most natural caring way. And did I mention it’s painless? Dr. Sheng is a true healer! I thank God that I found her.“

1740 South St #503, Philadelphia“Just had a massage with Daniel today, went in for one thing and we discovered that my body needed a lot more than I thought. Attentive and knowledgable, Daniel worked through the countless knots that I didn't even realize were there and now I feel lighter and more balanced. Booking again with him in three weeks. In terms of the office, it's clean, welcoming, and spacious. I'm also going to book an appointment for acupuncture with Dr. Cashman. Highly recommend this place.“

I started going back for another 5 more sessions during the winter and stopped going again. I do plan on returning. Really appreciate his support and patience. Great acupuncture facility! Would definitely recommend him to the public. As far as results, I always feel good after the session and do see improvement, but with my unique case, I always loose hope and end up quitting. I would recommend this facility to everyone!“

1108 South St, Philadelphia“I love Wong Acupuncture Center. It’s a modest place, and Dr. Shu Kyi Ide is quiet and unassuming, but she is truly gifted at what she does. I had been dealing with severe pregnancy-related symptoms and had tried everything my Penn doctors, family, and friends suggested, but nothing brought real relief. After just one session with Shu, I felt better than I thought possible. I was so grateful—and honestly a bit amazed—by how much of a difference it made. I now plan to see her regularly, because if one session brought that much relief, I’m eager to see how I’ll feel with ongoing care. Her pricing is fair, it’s easy to get an appointment, and I’m so thankful to have found her.“
“Dan is the best! I had some IT band issues and Dan healed me up in two sessions. I’m totally hooked. He understands my body very well - he’s a genius masseuse and a caring guy! Fairmount is lucky to have Still Waters!“

“If you are needle shy or sensitive, you definitely want to see Myrna for acupuncture. I have been to many wonderful practitioners over the years but she has a gift with her needle technique. She is caring, patient, competent and also will work with your insurance. There is no reason to suffer with pain if she is in your locale. With the current opioid epidemic more people should consider her treatment to avoid drug related side effects. The only side effect from her treatment is a sense of calm and re-balancing hat you can carry into your week .“
