This place has the professional atmosphere and elegant appearance that I have come to appreciate since my childhood. I've been shopping with Sides for decades and would honestly drive the longer distance for the Williamsport store than go to the closer State College store. Whatever the State College store is missing, the Williamsport store has it in spades. Excellent service, better product selection than anywhere else, and generally beautiful store.
I took my Taylor acoustic guitar into R.M. Sides for new strings. I was really impressed with their work -- the strings at the high end frets had splendid action -- very nice work and speedy too. Thank You !
If your bow's action has been niggling at you, consider having it looked at. I am grateful to Robert M. Sides Family Music Center for providing transportation for my two bows from their Horseheads location to their luthiers in Williamsport for repair. Upon reviewing the bows, the luthier assigned to my order called me, and we had a pleasant conversation about my level of use and bow repair needs.
