This place is an amazing portal to music history: The expertise & talent is a rare find, and the care & concern also rare. I purchased a violin and bow from this shop while living halfway across the country, just prior to the July 4th weekend, and Mr. Judd had it express-shipped to me so it wouldn't have to sit in a hot truck, stuck in holiday traffic somewhere over the weekend. Both the violin and bow were even more beautiful sounding than the descriptions on the website, and I feel honored and humbled to own these more-than-a-century-old masterpieces. If I won the lottery, I'd buy up everything this shop has restored! Each one is a treasure!
We are renting a violin from J.R. Judd Violins. I was surprised how quickly it arrived. When I called this week about a repair we need they answered quickly and communicated clearly with a well thought out plan. Highly recommend them!
They are so helpful here. They will bring your child's instrument to their school. I pay 23 dollars a month for my sons violin. He needed a size up and they come switch the instrument out at the school and the money you have paid towards it transfers to the next one when they need a size up.
