I used AF services in the past two years with no issues. But last Friday (2/7) the scheduled oil delivery failed. I called them to find out what happened and let them know the critical situation I had with almost no oil. They never answered my several calls or emails on Friday night and Saturday, I even called to the emergency number they provide online, same no answer. Sunday night I received an email saying they failed my delivery because of lack of communication, but the delivery would be on Monday (2/10). So, I did some runs to get diesel and hold my furnace running over the weekend. Monday morning I called them, finally Michele answered and confirmed the delivery would be done that day with no problem, I explained how important the oil was for me due the current circumstances. Monday 2 pm, No delivery yet, I called to check the status, Michele affirmed the truck is heading to your home, but the truck NEVER got my home, the delivery FAIL again, despite of their promises. I can't absolutely trust in a company like that anymore. They never communicate with me or tried to fix their fault, they just lied to me and let me down.

I've been ordering my home heating oil online from American Fuels PA exclusively since April 2020.Michelle has always been responsive to my emails (24 hrs turn around). Recently I had an oil delivery scheduled for tomorrow 2/13/2025, but ran out of oil this weekend. Typically not a huge problem but the week prior I had cancer surgery. My wife and I did some runs to wawa for diesel to hold us over. Before the Eagles Super Bowl game I emailed Michelle my situation. At 6:30 AM Monday morning she emailed me back with the great news that they can move me up from Thursday to Tuesday. The delivery man came yesterday, Tuesday mid afternoon. It was a huge relief since this is my responsibility and my wife of 36 years loves hot showers.
My suggestion to customers is use the website. I get a personalized confirmation email the next business day. My sense is they are a low cost provider. They are probably a smaller outfit, not a huge call center.
I rarely write reviews, am not on social media.I felt compelled to share my story after reading some of the other reviews.
Take it for what it's worth.

Be cool if they actually showed up when they say they will or if they even answered the phone once in a while (ever). Not here the day quoted, but I can’t cancel delivery (not like they answer calls) and go with someone else bc they have my credit card info and will charge ME $100 for their incompetence. What a joke.

Being the cheapest oil provider requires having a fleet of trucks to handle the volume of orders, having two or three trucks doesn't work when you're giving the oil away!

We have used American Fuels for service and oil delivery for the last 3+ years and have been happy with the service. We were under the impression that we had a service plan contract since that is what we asked for when we originally signed on with American Fuels, as well as the fact we pay a regular annual fee and a tech comes out and services our heater annually. Well we're in a "no heat" situation and since we apparently don't (so we've been informed) have a "plan" they can get to us in January, it's the end of November. If we had had a plan, they could make the time for us, but since we don't, "nothing we can do - I recommend you find someone else for service" - their words. Sadly our relationship with them is ending, we were happy with the service tech and fuel delivery guy, but we can't rely on them.
