About Centre Wildlife Care
Centre Wildlife Care (CWC) is a 501c3, non-profit, tax-exempt, licensed organization dedicated to caring for injured, orphaned, sick, and displaced wildlife, aiming to release them back into the wild. CWC provides professional care to over 1600 mammals, birds, and reptiles each year, accepting animals not only from Centre County but also from surrounding counties, other areas of the state, and other rehabilitators. The organization also offers educational programs featuring live animals for the public. As an all-volunteer organization, CWC relies solely on donations and does not receive funding from local, state, or federal agencies. Customers have expressed gratitude for the help they received, such as when a newborn wild bunny was taken in after being found without a nest. While some felt the staff could show more care during the process, others praised the polite and patient assistance offered, especially when rescuing a loon in distress. Many people appreciate the dedication of CWC, as seen when orphaned baby possums were gladly accepted. Overall, CWC is recognized for its important work in wildlife rehabilitation and education.
Called about a baby bunny whose nest was attacked by dogs. Told me to bring the bunny in and they’d take care of it. I appreciate the care and concern they showed
Thank you for being able to take in the orphaned opossums I happened across. Not many of them get a second chance in a situation like that. I'm grateful that they had a place to go.
They Care! They deserve our support in any fashion possible for you. They took on a severely damaged but tough little box turtle. Prayer for the staff and critters
