“I have been going to Plumsteadville Family Practice for the last 20 years. I have seen all of the physicians and many of the NP’s that work there - all are highly skilled and incredibly attentive. There are times when you may have to wait for an appointment; when you have a great practice, you tend to be busy. That being said, I have always been seen quickly when I’ve had an emergent issue.

They are truly a practice who tries to see their patients and attend to the issues that they are able to instead of just referring you to the emergency room. As someone who works in the ER, I have definitely seen the opposite of a lot of practices. I was sent for an emergent cat scan to rule out an appendicitis when my presentation was concerning for it and got to skip the ER copay. I called one weekend with a sick infant after hours. The doc said he had to head into the office to work on some paperwork and told me to bring him in for evaluation. What also impressed me beyond words was when I brought my daughter in with something atypical. My provider’s response was, “It’s not something I’ve seen, and I’m not 100% sure the best way to move forward. I’m going to look into it further.” She came back with a treatment plan that couldn’t have been more thorough. You only get this level of care and service from a practice that truly cares about their patients.
