I should have posted this much earlier but I presume things are about the same except for COVID restrictions.

When my partner had a kidney removed she had a private room,
they encouraged me to sleep in the room. Instead of a
recovery room she came straight to the room and she
had a dedicated nurse (they were busy so she was
actually the head of nursing for the hospital and had
a PhD of her own she was also just published in a Nursing
Journal - about how to spot sleep apnea in surgical patients)
She was in the room until my lady was awake.

I have been going to the kidney clinic for several years and have extremely pleased with the excellent job they do. Initially, I had a thorough and outstanding physician who left to head up a major kidney department in the eastern part of the state and am now working with Dr. Boyd who is an amazing physician. She knows my case inside out, she looks at my issues from all sides, she consults with my PCP and gives excellent medical advice. I am so pleased with the high quality of the Kidney Clinic physicians I have worked with.
