The Sports Clips in Oakland consistently provides a pleasant haircut experience with their friendly hair stylists and the service never feels rushed. If I ever need a quick touch-up after the initial cut within the next day, they are always open to making those adjustments. It's always a nice atmosphere with chill convos when you're getting your haircut. While prices have increased over the years, they're still cheaper than most of the hair salons around the area. Definitely a nice atmosphere to get your haircut, especially if you're a student frequenting the Oakland area.

EDIT: after letting it grow out for a couple of weeks I actually really like the length and what the barber did with it! Still not what I asked for but I was too harsh on my first critiqueI'm a guy who has always prided himself on his long hair, so I made sure to tell the barber how much to take off and even kept a reference picture out throughout the haircut showing exactly how much I wanted off. She ended up taking off an extra inch and a half compared to the picture, completely disregarding my instructions. The style was good, I'm just not looking forward to the four to six months until it grows into the length I actually wanted.

Overpriced, average haircut. Also I told the barber to take 1/4 inch off the top and he took 2 inches off. Either he doesn’t know how big an inch is or he wasn’t listening to me, or didn’t care.

Barber showed literally zero effort and attention while cutting my hair and disregarded my instructions. She seemed like she desperately didn’t want to be there and had no care in how the final result looked

I have been to this place before a lot of times and sometimes I have also taken my friends there. But the haircut I got this time is incredibly awful. No way near for what I asked for no patience with the barber at all. I would rather be bald than get a haircut like this. I tipped and was nice and everything because this i the place I always go to. Usually they greet properly and are very nice but today the person couldn’t show tiniest bit of hospitality’s I was being treated like I am getting a haircut in a prison or some what.I have such a horrible haircut that I can’t even explain but let me put it this way if this is how they are going to continue I wouldn’t get a haircut there even if it’s for free. A barber with no patience is a person with no hairstyling skill.

Brittni started my Friday out awesome! She gave me the best haircut and overall experience!!! Also it was great to see her and the other stylist take pride in training the new stylist. I’ll be back for sure!
