Sat down with the owner Gary. Showed me all the different options for the project Im doing and helped guide me as to the best option for the job. Super knowledgeable, very reasonable pricing, and overall great experience. They made the hardware store a fun trip. For all your lumber and hardware needs even if its a bit of a trip you owe it to yourself to be treated well and not just like a number.
Very cool place! I got burned buying 4x4 posts at Home Depot last summer and they warped after I put them in the ground so this time around when I’m building a fence for my Grandmother in-law I’m doing it right and getting my wood from a place that cares a bit more. These 4x4 posts look great and are astronomically better quality from what I can tell. The place was busy and you have to go before they close in the evening but the process was smooth I just paid inside and they gave me a pink slip to hand to one of the employees outside and they helped me load them up in my truck! They have a great system in place that involves convenience and quality lumber. Yes they do it for profit, but I can honestly say that Paul's lumber has helped rebuild Pittsburgh
