About LA Fitness
LA Fitness offers a wide range of amenities at an outstanding value, featuring state-of-the-art equipment, group fitness classes, a pool, saunas, and more. The gym provides a welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and helpful staff who are dedicated to creating a supportive and motivating environment. Members have access to a variety of free weights, lifting stations, cardio equipment, and spin classes, as well as personal training. While the facility is clean and well-maintained, some areas feel a bit dystopian, with the pool out of operation since 2020, and limited equipment like kettlebells and resistance bands. The gym has many machines, and during sales, membership costs around 30-40 dollars. The staff is friendly, but some classes, like Pilates, lack proper instruction and equipment introduction, which can be concerning for safety. There is a need for beginner classes to ensure proper use of equipment and techniques, as rushing through exercises can lead to injuries. Despite the large size, some equipment, such as the prone hamstring curl machine, may be out of service for a long time, leading members to consider switching gyms for better access to certain equipment. Overall, LA Fitness helps many members achieve their fitness goals with a supportive environment, though improvements in instruction and equipment maintenance could enhance the experience further.

I was disappointed because, there was little to no introduction to the equipment and I found that it is easy to injure yourself without more knowledge. The young person who instructed the class was referencing her phone throughout out the session which seemed a bit disturbing as I was not sure if I was completing the exercises properly. It felt like LA just invested in this equipment and need to push it out without a thoughtful plan. There MUST be a beginners class at least once ir twice monthly that everyone should attend. This protects LA Fitness and the consumer. This class should cover equipment and techniques....read full review
The people that work here are friendly. The facility itself is weirdly a bit depressing and dystopian...pool out of operation since 2020 and seems likely that it's never getting fixed. Only a few kettlebells of various weights laying around different areas, and surprised to find not a single resistance band.
Also, for such a large gym with so many machines, I joined fully expecting to find a prone hamstring curl machine to be able to do eccentric hamstring curls as part of my physical therapy regimen (the seated ones are a pain to do these on), and I did find one, with a "scheduled for maintenance" paper stuck to it that is so worn down, I'm guessing it has been...read full review
Never been to an LA Fitness before today, so I was a bit nervous. The entire staff, especially Roderick were extremely helpful and attentive for a first timer. I will definitely be back again.
