This is a music lovers heaven. They have every imaginable record you could think of. They do a semi annual dollar sale which is amazing. I could spend hundreds of dollars and hours and hours looking at everything. It is a bit overwhelming. They only take cash by the way.

An institution you can't miss; there's no atmosphere of record snobbery hovering about. The sheer volume can be a little overwhelming at first. Plan to spend a little longer here than you counted on. Also be aware it's cash only; there's an ATM on premises in the hall. As far as I'm concerned it's the archetype of what a record store should be.

A great place to look for records but loses a star because of parking...because it's Squirrel Hill you usually have to park on residential streets which can be far from the store or pay for parking which is still not close to the store...also beware if you're overweight or very old...the steps to get up there can be challenging for you.
