Jody, the owner, sent out a guy to measure my floors. My contractor told me I had 600 sq ft and her guy said it was 660. No big deal over the extra 60 sq ft BUT when I looked at my bill, Jody charged me for 940.80 sq ft for material and labor! My contractor removed tile from my kitchen floor and prepped the floor for install and Jody tried to charge me for it. Luckily, I was home when her installers finished the job, and I watched them carry 15 unopened boxes of hardwoods out of my house and put them in their truck. This business intentionally tried to steal money from me. I love the hardwoods I bought from them, but BUYER BEWARE!

I have been a contractor in Philadelphia for over 10 years. I have done multiple kitchens and this was the worst experience ever encountered. Their cabinets are cheaper quality than the surrounding stores (they use all particle board) and their customer service is an absolute joke. Their manager shouldn't even be allowed to sweep floors. He is that clueless. We originally order cabinets through YD because lead time on a certain color. They asked about install during purchase. It was $100 a cabinet and $5 to remove. We originally declined because the homeowner had other stuff they wanted done. On delivery day, my install crew is ready to go, cabinets are delivered and multiple cabinets (color) are wrong. We call and ask if it's just a door swap so we can go ahead and install and they say they have to take the wrong color cabinets back. That stopped us dead in the water. I inquire about having them install because the customer planned a vacation around losing her kitchen and I have another couple projects lined up directly after. They say $100 a cabinet and free removal due to the issues. However, they quickly change it back to $5 a cabinet. They say install next day, then that changes to the next, then we don't know, then the next, and continued like this for a week. Here comes redelivery day. They show up with the SAME exact cabinets they took back last time only with the correct color doors separately to be swapped AFTER install. So we could of installed the kitchen and had the countertop template already completed the first time. Only this time, they knew we're in a bind, so the price changes from $5 a cabinet, to $15, to then $50 per cabinet. Their installers also showed up with a skill saw and drywall screws. No miter saw, no table saw, no cabinet screws - just a simple skill saw. When I told them to get lost the price for removal changed from $50 a cabinet to $47 if we accepted right now because "they knew we were in a bind." They needed payment before they started. I would highly suggest shopping elsewhere. I've been dealing with Washington Brothers down the street for years and never had issues like we had with YD. Their cabinet quality is also much better. YD's entire experience is a joke. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU HAVE ANY TIMELINE WHATSOEVER. THEY WILL SCREW IT UP. Make sure you allot yourself plenty of cushion if you don't heed my warning.
