PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY, and book an appointment literally anywhere but here. Here’s the story:

I scheduled an appointment online in advance to have my starter locs retwisted. Shortly afterwards, I paid a deposit equal to 50% of the service cost directly to the master stylist (Aleta) who was scheduled to do my hair.

The day of my appointment, I arrived on time. I was greeted by 2 stylists who were not Aleta. I was told Aleta was not available which was news to me. The 2 stylists then started arguing with each other right in front me (and 2 other clients who were in the shop) about who was going to retwist my locs because they both wanted the money. After about 15 mins after my appointment time, they finally settled on who would be doing it. The stylist washed my hair incorrectly, and unraveled close to half of my locs. When she finally started my hair, she combed out 2 of my back rows ruining the progress made with my loc formation which I specifically asked her not to do. It was at this point I should have walked out.

She then told me she would be back after washing and blow drying someone else’s hair. I sat in the chair waiting for another 20 mins.

I eventually walked out of the salon frustrated and disappointed. I am writing this review after retwisting my hair myself and losing my $50 deposit.

I wouldn’t return to this salon if someone paid me to.

0/10 experience. I only gave them 1 star in this review because 0 wasn’t an option.

I got my retwist and 2 strand done by Niemah, wash and dry was included in my service which is hard to come by in 2025. Good look!

I had my hair done by Niemah some time ago but I wanted to come back and leave an 5 star review! I’ve gotten so many compliments since she did my hair. Her customer service made me feel right at home like we were girlfriends, we laughed and talked the whole appointment! I will be returning again.
