Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center

My father leaves Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center today and I have to say that it has been a great experience for him and our family. First, it is a beautiful, clean and modern facility. Most of the staff that we came into contact with over the last 6 weeks have been extremely attentive, kind, and loving - from the ladies at the front desk to the nursing staff and CNA's.

My father, who is a stroke survivor, made wonderful progress in the weeks that he worked with your physical therapists. Unlike some other skilled nursing care facilities, they wouldn't allow him to get lazy or give up on himself. The proof is in the results and I only hope that this foundation provides him with the incentive to continue on his road to independence and recovery.

Though we are happy that Daddy is coming home today, I wanted to speak on behalf of my entire family and say THANK YOU for being his "home away from home" for a few weeks. You will be missed!

There are just a few things that I would suggest to make it an even better experience for residents and families in the future. I am happy to share my thoughts privately with anyone who may be interested.

Special shout out to Tajuana (sp?) -- I know that having him move to your side put extra work on your plate and we SO APPRECIATE the care and laughter you brought to his room every day he was in your charge. <3 Also Jackie, Dana, Tanika, Roxanne, Kaye, Seymour, Nikki (wound care nurse) and Megan (speech therapist). If I left anyone out forgive my head and not my heart. Again -- THANK YOU!
