However, there are concerns regarding communication after surgery, as some patients reported difficulties in reaching on-call staff for follow-up care. While valet parking is noted to be organized and there is affordable patient parking with shuttle service, the area experiences heavy traffic and parking challenges, which can lead to delays. I am out of surgery since the 27 th all supposedly went well no one has called back but once to check on me but I slept and didn’t get phone call. Now going into weekend and called on call twice for Dr Thaler on call who was Dr okola or ocola. First time suppose to call back on call didn’t for 30 minutes and now they tell me they will put another call into him for 35-45 minutes so I have to be to work by that time now!!! And when I said this the woman who answered said then go to urgent care!!!! Another bill instead of possibly something called in for this ear and throat pain after a biopsy on the 4/27/2026. So on call not good!!!!
Best doctors I've ever had. They did a great job helping me thru my cancer treatment. Lots of traffic in the area and for the occasional garage closures sending you to a different garage give yourself some extra time. Id give myself 20-30 min to find parking to avoid being late.
Velet parking is organized, the flow of traffic in and out of buildings is hassle free. The $5 patient parking with shuttle is awesome and makes for a smooth visit too. I've had nothing but good experiences with doctors at Penn.
