I was overly impressed by my visit to Nostalgic Eye Care. The entire staff was effective, patient-centered, and compassionate. Excellent communication and timely care were exhibited. It was a unique experience.
Kind, knowledgeable staff and clean atmosphere.
I went to purchase eyeglasses, was sold an overpriced product (comparison), contacted the retailer before delivery, and was told there were no refunds. Utilizing my insurance I was charged $534 for a pair of reading glasses... not bifocals, not progressive lenses, nothing special at all. When I asked for a price breakdown I was told one thing when purchased, something else when I went to cancel the order. There was $135 charge for scratch protection... on a pair of reading glasses. The sales person stated when ordering this protection wss $35 and stated it as if it were something that came with the product and had to be ordered. Later, when attempting to cancel the order I was told that alone was $135. The glasses remain in their store, I have contacted the merchant, has still received no return call, or response. This process has been completely unethical. This is why it can be challenging supporting minority run business. Unfortunately customer service is lacking. My experience with the doctor was great, his staff and their other services ~ MORBIDLY LACKING. In the end, they have the product in the store and are refusing to return the $534 they charged me. The only resolution appears to be the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Protection Agency or the Attorney General's Office.
