I only write reviews with the hope that it might reach someone in a similar situation to get the best help possible. I started drafting this review in my head in April 2025 when I met Nancy for the first time. I'm a 55-year-old widow who can no longer find joy in what was supposed to be her forever home. Nancy brilliantly negotiated the very complicated and highly emotional sale of my Gladwyne home. Finances aside, she gingerly showed me that it was OK to let go. Her dedication and expertise resulted in a very equitable transaction for both parties. With her help, I can comfortably afford to build new in upstate New York to continue my healing journey.
3/31/2026- UPDATE! Nancy's command of the Philly market is abundantly evident. Within a few weeks, she found a perfect 3 bedroom place in the Graduate Hospital area for me to finish my work at CHOP and my son to finish his studies. I truly believe home is where the heart is. She has been instrumental in helping my heart heal.

If they won’t even salt/shovel their properties, do you think they’ll answer your maintenance calls?

Nancy and Jimmy were excellent to work with when selling my home. They were both attentive, communicative and have immense knowledge about real estate and the neighborhoods of Philadelphia. This was my first time selling a house and they guided me each step of the way. Would highly recommend them.

I was selling two townhouses in Philadelphia. Nancy was the best! Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and lines of communication were always open. Her office staff were also exceptional. She is diamond in the rough and there is a lot of rough out there. I highly recommend Maxwell Realty and Nancy. I am ever grateful for two smooth sales.

I rented an apartment managed by Maxwell Realty and had a horrible experience every step of the way. The apartment was dirty when we arrived and had a leak in the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. When we asked for the leak to be looked at, we were ignored until we threatened to break the lease. We also asked multiple times but never received a signed copy of our lease.
Upon move out, we had basically no communications and never got confirmation that our notice of not renewing the lease was received. We left the apartment much cleaner than we found it and yet were not given back any of our security deposit. The damages were made in bad faith, including $150 for furniture removal (the furniture included a single chair that was there when we moved in) and $200 for trash removal (when we asked about the trash they sited a single piece of cardboard). It took months of back and forth and being ignored, calls being dodged, to get even half our security deposit back. We had lawyers review our concerns who believed we were entitled to double our security deposit, but the idea of taking them to court was too stressful so we settled for half.
If you are a renter, please consider any other management company, this was such a negative experience.

Incredible group of people. I’d highly recommend them for any of your real estate needs!

Would rather push out long term commercial tenants than negotiate a fair, long term lease. Would not advise working with Nancy especially
Restaurants are a tough business. Any commercial venture in Philadelphia is honestly tough. And to be raising rents and pushing out long term tenants is nuts.
Would not recommend using as a commerical landlord

Received a mail flyer. I decided to give them a try. Called (3) times, all of which went to voicemail. We kept missing each other, but decided since they were unable to answer the phone once, probably not a good fit. Then they started calling non-stop. I had texted them and asked them to stop calling me, but they continue to call daily. Such harassment, but don't answer the phone!

Like many others here, I am constantly spammed by mailers from NRC, despite several requests that she/they stop mailing me. At this point, based on her complete failure to listen or respond to a very simple and reasonable consumer request, I can’t imagine having her help me with one of the largest and complicated transactions that most of us are likely to enter into - and at this point I’d hire just about any other real estate broker but this one!

Nancy was exceptional in helping us sell our condo. Her intimate knowledge of the city, neighborhoods, and the current real estate market was instrumental in creating a listing that garnered attention. Throughout the entire process from listing to closing, Nancy was amazing in guiding us through it all.
