Believe the 1-star reviews. Notice the positive reviews tend to come from landlords, not the tenants. Horrendous management company. They do not answer the phone, are dismissive of property complaints, and by far the WORST experience I’ve had while renting. I will not be renewing my lease and recommend you avoid any property under their management.

I currently live in Fishtown in a property that used to be managed by JG Realty and I can say I genuinely miss how they maintained the building. I’ve been here going on 4 years and now on the third property management group and I can honestly say I’m at a loss for words. JG used to maintain a great cleaning team and even a gardener to care for our courtyard! Ever since they left the building has been painted odds colors on the inside, the garden has since died and remains dead, there are mystery stains on carpets - no cleaning people come, they’ll let just about anyone move in here and it’s turned into a frat house with all the noise. BRING JG REALTY BACK to 1416 Frankford Ave!!

Every time I have an issue they are responsive helpful and quick. I’ve lived in one of their buildings for 2 years and always satisfied with requests for maintenance and otherwise. Mike in maintenance is especially helpful and responsive!! Fixed my issue in just a few mins.

JG's Construction Division provided the best experience I have ever had with a major home repair and reconstruction project. The work was done to the highest standards, everyone who came was highly professional, extremely courteous, helpful, considerate, and very unobtrusive. John is an outstanding manager, communicator and coordinator. He always provided advance notice of every day's plans, and accommodated my schedule as needed. Donnie, Manny and Miguel were extremely reliable, considerate and hard-working, and the quality of the work was excellent. There was even a cleaning crew to make sure everything was left neat and tidy. Thank you all!

i rented from a building managed by this company for 3 years. they were always super fast when responding to maintenance requests and last week a friend let me know that they sent me a package to my old address not knowing that i moved and JG maintenance team got my package and shipped it on to my new address the day after I emailed them asking if the package was still in the mail room, no additional cost to me! this company is great to rent from!

I have been using JG to manage my Philly 3-unit property since August 2014. I Live in San Francisco. I only have rave reviews to give JG Property management! Ever since I hired them, I never worry about my property. They keep the units rented at market prices, Handle all turn-overs with ease and efficiency, are VERY responsive to my needs/questions as well as are responsive to tenant requests in a timely manner . Tenants even have the ability to pay rent and request services/repairs on-line. Before hiring JG, I thought about selling my rental because of the hassle it was to manage from so far away...Now I'm glad I didn't sell and feel that my property could not be in better hands. They take care of ALL issues and not only make sure that the property meets all state & city regulations, but also make sure that I'm kept informed. They also provide yearly property inspection reports for owners with current Pics of condition of units as well as recommendations if needed. They require owner approval for any expenses greater than $500 so you never are at risk of receiving an unexpected hefty invoice. Their pricing is very reasonable for a "worry free owner" situation and I highly recommend them. The whole office team is awesome!

Avoid if you value basic property maintenance. Customer service is set up to politely delay rather than fixing things. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Do they even want to rent their apartments?
It feels like they list properties just to ignore people. I had a few questions about a unit because their Zillow listing had conflicting information. I tried messages, emails, and voicemails. The response? Mostly silence, with a few half-answers thrown in.
When I finally spoke to someone, she treated my call like an inconvenience—curt and eager to hang up.
Then I got an email saying the rent dropped on a unit I liked, so I booked a tour. Suddenly, the option to see a second unit I liked vanished. I emailed—no reply. The day of when I asked the tour guide, he just shrugged and said, “Better luck next time.”
If by “next time” he meant I’ll have better luck winning the lottery than being successful with JG Real Estate, he might be right.
Oh, and they could’ve shown me that second unit, but instead, the guide tried to show me a random one I didn’t even sign up for.
