I had the best most relaxing experience at Spa Hygge!! I had gotten a gift card for Christmas and redeemed it for a 60 minute classical facial. On the booking, you can mark if you want the facial to be educational or not speaking, which I appreciated! The space is beautifully decorated and located in such a cute area in old city. They have a parking lot and the entrance to the actual spa is tucked away so it’s like a little getaway in Philly! Loved Chan, we had such lovely conversation and she took such good care of me and my skin!

I decided to treat my fiancé and I to a massage and decided to come here because of the 5 star reviews. We arrived 10 minutes early for our appointment to which we were greeted by the masseuse who was handling my massage. She told us that they were running a bit behind and asked us to fill out a questionnaire. The waiting area is super inviting and filled with refreshments and snacks. Very nice touch. We were taken back separately to our rooms a few minutes after 1230 which was our appointment time. After speaking with the masseuse for about 3-4 minutes she asked me to undress to my comfortability. Granted, it was nice that there was an add-on, I chose the hand and foot scrub. But after I was asked to undress the masseuse did not come back for about 7-8 minutes. My fiance described the same for his massage. Our shared experience was that the massage and entire experience was rushed. It did not feel personal or “tailored” to me. My fiance said his felt more tailored to what he wanted though. There was even a point where the masseuse asked if there was a part of my body I didn’t want touched and I said that I would prefer not to get a head massage as my scalp was sun burnt. To my dismay, towards the end of the experience I received a head massage. Normally I wouldn’t write a negative review because I don’t like to speak negatively of small businesses but the price of a massage at this establishment is well over what most places are charging (the tip is already included in the total amount) therefore I would expect to have been massaged for a full hour rather than 40-45 minutes since it was delayed about 15 minutes. My experience with expensive massages has been that the massage itself is the time that was paid for during booking which was an hour.

I love Spa Hygge! I’ve been getting facials with Monica for about a year now and I couldn’t be happier with them.
Monica does an amazing job and always teaches me so much about how to take care of my skin which is so helpful! The spa in general has such a relaxed vibe and is not intimidating at all. I 10/10 recommend Monica and Spa Hygge.

Truly the best spa ever! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Bri is absolutely phenomenal and always is helpful regarding tips and tricks to keep my skin happy and healthy. I always leave feeling amazing. All the add ons and tip are included in the price making everything so easy and stress free. I am always excited to go back!

I’ve been to Spa Hygge 2x now, once for the 60 min facial, and another for the get away package. Each visit has been wonderful. Their space is cozy, serene, and inviting. I had Chan for my most recent service (facial). She was courteous and professional but warm. Chan asked me about my skin concerns, suggested a plan, and then went to work! She checked in with me throughout and explained what she was doing. My service was so relaxing and my skin looked great after. Looking forward to my next visit.

I love coming to Spa Hygge! The add ons are all included, and Bri always knows which are best for my skin. Their services are excellent, the environment is warm and calming, and I always recommend them to my friends. I didn’t used to get regular facials but now I can’t help but look forward to my next one with Bri! I also love that gratuity is included in the price - no anxiety about making sure you adequately tipped after coming out of complete relaxation. Worth the splurge for a professional, luxurious facial from a woman owned business in Philly!

I love this space so much! It feels like a tucked away treehouse- it's so cozy! My Esthetician was Chan and she's truly a gem- she was so educated with the treatment and post-care! You can tell she's extremely passionate about what she does & she makes you feel right at home. I cant wait to come back

I had by far and away the best facial of my life with Anna. She is highly skilled- my skin looks incredible and cannot wait to go back!

I did really enjoy my massage here. The ambiance of the spa is fabulous and very welcoming when you walk in. But for the seep price of a 1 hour massage I would’ve imaged I would’ve walked out a new person, zen, and ready to take on the rest of my day/ week. But unfortunately the entire massage I heard other staff and maybe clients talking and laughing as well as phone or iPad notifications going off. It just made it a little harder to be completely relaxed. I would recommend this spa but it may be some time before I return.
