We had our original heart pine floors refinished by Hudson and had a really great experience! We'd had them done about 6 months ago by another company and it totally went awry/didn't cure properly, and decided to go with Hudson to have them redone. Joe was super communicative and really put our minds at ease. His crew were very skilled and efficient, and went the extra mile to minimize dust, etc., since we were living in the house during the refinish. So happy with the results and highly recommend!

We used Hudson Hardwood to refinish our row house floors, and swap out an upstairs carpeted room to hardwood. They were a breeze to work with - got in within 2 weeks of us contacting them (they offered to start even earlier but we had other projects going on), and finished everything 2 days earlier than estimated. Joe is especially communicative and professional. The floors look amazing. They did an especially great job matching the upstairs install to the pre-fab hardwood in the hallway outside. You'd barely know they were installed years apart.

Our goals: We wanted to refinish existing 1950s hardwood (white oak) and also needed a new floor in an addition. We looked for a professional who could do both, to provide harmony between the old and the new. We looked at a lot of online reviews and visited several flooring offices. We also preferred to support a local business, if we could find one.

Joe Hudson from Hudson Hardwood was immediately responsive with a comprehensive ballpark plan, including an initial rough estimate. During the on-site estimate, Joe walked us through his assessment, and the final price was in-line with the ballpark. Overall pricing was also in-line with our independent estimates for quality work.

The Hudson Hardwood team (special thanks to Marcos) were both prompt and flexible in scheduling the work in two phases: refinishing the existing and installing the new. We are delighted with the results of the refinishing, and the newly installed herringbone pattern white oak is delightful.

Bottom line: We are very satisfied with the whole process, from initial estimate through results we can be proud of.
