Dealing the front desk is the punishment for having mental health issues. It’s almost like they hate you for needing help and having to call and they have to pick up. They also congregate at the front desk and speak about unprofessional topics in front of guest/ members. However, my therapist is great !
At first they were great and answering the phones. Now nothing gets through and nobody wants to pick up the phone for any department. Ridiculous.
Edit 2026: In case anybody thought things changed: Not really. Only slightly better, you still get at least a few days a week of people deciding not to answer the phones. I grew up with GPHA in general, didn't used to be this bad but it's gotten worse and worse with every year. People lie to you, people are rude, people just decide not to help you, and there's some people who just don't speak or understand English well. Trash.
I had a dentist appointment today that was supposed to be a regular check up. They gave me a cleaning, even though I already had a cleaning scheduled for the following week. Then, the dentist Dr. Michael Thomas, who was not the usual dentist I had been seeing for my past few appointments, suggested to re-do dental work I had only just gotten done 4 months ago. When I asked for a reason why, he could not provide one. I told him I did not understand why he was recommending this and instead of trying to offer me an explanation, he looked at me and said “you don’t understand?” I decided not to go forward with this treatment plan as he could not clearly explain why it...read full review
