A well organized and clean facility that makes physical exercise a pleasure. The friendly and accommodating staff made my first couple visits efficient and easy to get into my workout routine. The equipment and the facility is well maintained. Everything works and there is enough duplication of equipment so there is no down time. Overall an excellent workout experience and I am proud to be a member of the Christian Street YMCA.
I just started going there with my friend. The front desk staff, and instructors/trainers are very friendly. Overall, the place is kept clean. Maybe one thing that needs improvement is the lockers/bathrooms downstairs. Many of the lockers don’t have a functioning locking mechanism, so very few lockers actually work when you put your lock on. Bathroom also smells like feet.
Anyway, away from that, I think it’s a great place, nice people, lots of group exercises, gym equipment, and the fact that people can use their Medicaid to get free membership is just amazing.
I’ve been going here on and off for about two years now all I can say is I feel like I’m bonding with the elderly who participate in the workout and dance classes I am so inspired by their dedication and endurance The instructors are amazing and very supportive. I love going to the pool. My only suggestion is they open up two lanes instead of one when it’s family swim because it’s usually not enough room and that the registration process for summer camp and after school be a little more responsive because I’ve been trying to get my son into the program for a long time.
