I can no longer support this business. We have been loyal clients for years, even through staffing shortages and other challenges of the pandemic, and poor grooming of our dog resulting from same, but no longer. There is no staffing, no way to communicate with you and no experienced and/or competent groomers. And as you know, my dog was injured by you or your groomer last week. You both denied grooming our dog. He needed immediate emergency treatment for an ulcerated cornea. He is recovering, but your defensiveness, dismissiveness and denial of having injured him, and the lack of information as to what had occurred, information needed for treatment, was not just uncaring, but jeopardized his vision. The injury was confirmed by the written report of the emergency vet. The report and pictures are alarming. You could have helped us and her to understand what had happened so as to assist in treatment, but you clearly did not care enough to provide this information or even to call to see if he was okay. You do not have to ask me to no longer bring our dog to you. I can no longer recommend Chez Bow Wow; I can only suggest that your business, once one of the best, should Bo longer be open.

I would not recommend this place at all! I walked into the store and tried to ask some questions. The lady at the desk was extremely rude to me and blatantly disregarded my questions. She wouldn’t entertain what I was asking. When all I wanted to know was how the process worked for getting an appointment for my dog. The whole interaction took less than two minutes but left me feeling gross with how she reacted.

Chez Bow Wow has been our groomer for over 12 years. We started going there with our Bedlington Terrier pair, who needed intense grooming. Other Philly groomers always left wounds, Chez Bow Wow groomers always performed breed standard cuts, with no wounds to the pups. They continued to groom our dogs, through illnesses and old age, for all of their lives. Never once did we have a cause for concern or a less than stellar cut.Now, we have Silken Windhounds, in the sighthound family. Once again, Chez Bow Wow excels at sending them home happy and with coats that are more than picture perfect. And once again, our dogs are excited to spend some time at their groomer, pulling me through the door.I cannnot recommend Chez Bow Wow highly enough.

When you think you can treat people with disrespect it doesn't matter how good your service is. I understand pet grooming can be a difficult business but you still have to deal with people and the owner of chez bow wow is about as disrespectful as they come.

Will quote you a price and charge you a higher price when you come to pick up your dog. They lack decent customer service skills and failed to give me a receipt for the services they performed on my dog.

First time we went our dog had a nice pup cut. This time we showed up at our scheduled appointment to find the door locked and no one answering the phone. I could see someone in the back but they would not come let us in. They need a much better appointment intake process instead of email if they can't remember client appointments.

Wow! I never leave reviews. Especially because they can be so damaging to a business. But I have to say, I'm never bringing my pet to Chez Bow Wow again. I've been coming to them for the last 9yrs now. Every year her hair kept getting shorter and shorter. In all of those years, I never complained but finally I decided it was time to speak up and especially because their prices went way up. The last 3 times I brought my Yorkie here, they cut her hair so short she was unrecognizable even after I gave them specific instructions and pics to show how I wanted it. She looked like a cat her hair was so short. They also made me feel awful for complaining about it. Not only are their prices outrageous, $88. for a 5lbs Yorkie (not including tip) which I don't mind paying, but the staff is rude and act as if they're doing you a favor by grooming your dog and God forbid you complain. Their prices reflect the rent they have to pay in Northern Liberties not their skills in grooming animals or their customer service. For the prices they charge I should get exactly what I want not what the random groomer decides, or is capable of. I finally had to tell them, they will no longer be getting my business. 3 strikes and you're out. You need new management and skilled groomers.
