Shop was very clean nice ladies you can actually use ur card in here for payment which makes it a plus young lady did my have 5 hours tops. Nice clean cool 4.5 out of 5 stars. Also please know the size you want I ask for medium and these a lil bit bigger than micros which I really appreciate. But know the size.

I usually go here to get braids, my mom who NEVER had braids before wanted to get box braids and i recommended this shop. She came when yall first opened up and then y’all tell her to come back hours later because it was busy and which she did and then yall ask if she can come next Saturday? People don’t have time or money to waste not cool.

As a faithful customer here I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism the business owner, Astan, displays towards customers. She is terrible at running her business properly. This will absolutely be the last time I go here.
To begin with she doesn't honor online appointments. In my last 3 times going she has made me wait at least an hour & this last time she made me wait 2 hours! She thinks having 2 braiders in your head makes up for the time wasted & that's just not the case. Even with 2 braiders in my head it still took the same amount of time to finish that was originally quoted meaning I'm still 2 hours behind schedule despite having 2 braiders. She didn't even offer an apology or a discount for the inconvenience.
To make matters worse, she got extremely rude & defensive when my wife told her that she could've handled this situation better since she was the one paying for it. My wife was doing something nice for me & having to wait 2 hours ruined our plans so yes as any normal person would she expressed her frustration to Astan. Instead of being apologetic she waited for my wife to leave & then came to me almost an hour later to complain about what my wife said to her. Literally screaming at me about it. She even took her hat off as if she wanted to fight. This simple conversation that should've ended with her apologizing turned into a full blown fight while she had other patrons in the store. My wife has bruises on her because the chair Astan threatened her with. All of her employees were on our side telling Astan to stop causing problems.
All of this drama would be avoided if she were running her business the right way. Don't accept online appointments if you're not going to have a stylist ready.

Aston African breading would be a great place to get your hair done if they asked questions, cared about there customers comfortability , and not criticize others hair. This is not a place I would even recommend your child to even go. Imagine your child beibg uncomfortable twisting their head or body in different directions because they refused to turn the chair or get up, instead while doing your child's front they pull there he'd all the way back to the point that there butt was half way off the chair. Just so the stylist can be conforble and not get up. They will eat something and then go back to doing your hair without washing their hands. And don't even ask them to leave out your edges, they will talk about you. they are beyond unprofessional and will criticize you. Both me and my mom had bad experiences, my mom hair have so much space in the parts.. my hair is fuller than hers and she got micro, u would think she would have more braids in her head then mine 😣 and she dont.. in the front mirco are closed together, not gaps...one side have gaps the other side are closed together..never never again

I come here every 3-4 months. I am happy with my hair every time and they always have the color i like. I only wish it was a bit faster but good work and alota hair takes time sometimes

I have written a review like i believe it been six years ago … and i been with Astan ever since. Nobody i mean nobody can braid my hair like they be braiding … they are friendly and make sure you are comfortable… for anybody that want a nice and professional braids come to Astan you will be very satisfied… i’m always satisfied went i walk out there and get a lot of compliments…so Thank you so much Astan for making me feel so good and Fabulous….❤️❤️❤️❤️
My experience with this place was excellent...everybody hair I seen was so nice and neat... my hair is nice I love it good job Astan I will be back and oh don’t forget the staff they was so nice and made sure everybody that came in didn’t have to wait so long... I will be back Astan....
I really miss this place I waiting patiently for her to open you will see me up in the building... you never know how much something mean to you .. and this place means a lot... Don’t want nobody else doing my hair
