We had two large shipments coming in on 18 wheels through ABF freight. Both times ABF failed to reach out beforehand and the trucks just showed up without notice. Despite my efforts to explain that we would need to have someone present to take delivery.
Both times I had to turn them away and figure out contingency plans because ABF failed to coordinated as I explicitly express via email to them in weeks leading up to the shipment.
Maybe others have fared better but we have just had back to back bad experienced with ABF, the communication just isn't where it needs to be.
