“Picture this: We went to Jamie’s studio for family pictures. Our daughter, who is two and a half years old, does not react well in the presence of people who are not her close family members with whom she regularly spends time. Now, she was being told to dress up and stand in an unfamiliar place, with this strange equipment—the various lighting—and with Jamie, holding a camera pointed at her. Our daughter became hysterical, seemingly inconsolable. That is how she is; despite all of the talk beforehand about how nice it will be, she reacted terribly—really dreadfully. Our hopes of beautiful family pictures with her were dashed. But Jamie, who is terrific with children, somehow managed nevertheless to coax our daughter into shedding her tears and smiling and posing for pictures. In the end, we were shocked to discover how many great shots of our daughter Jamie managed to get, despite our daughter’s tantrum. (Jamie even managed to get us, the distraught parents, also to look good.) In fact, our daughter now continues to say very often, “Jamie’s so nice. No cry.” We hope that next time—and we definitely will be going back for next year—there will be no crying. Nevertheless, as it turns out, thanks to Jamie, even after our daughter’s behavior, we all will be smiling, enjoying the beautiful pictures captured this time by Jamie. We highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a photographer for families or for children of whatever age (and of any disposition).“

“I cannot recommend Sophie enough. The photographs she took of us and our newborn will be treasured for the rest of our lives. My wife and I teared up when we went through them together. Sophie is a "natural" in every sense of the word. Her skills with the camera come naturally while only using natural light and making sure we feel natural at home. Her pictures portrayed a peaceful home and a loving family. Also, our dog immediately loved her (which can also be seen in the photos)!“

“It would be impossible to give Ashley & co any less than five stars after the wonderful wedding and engagement shoots that we did with them. They were very patient with us when we were not the easiest to work with (missing deadlines for forms, getting cranky taking photos outdoors in the heat, unruly bridal party and families, etc.). They also adapted very well to changes on their end due to traffic and the original photographer not being available at the last minute. They surprised us with a lovely gift at our wedding which made our night so special. We can't stop looking at the photos and will definitely hire Ashley again in the future if we need other professional photos done.“
