I am quite a shy person, especially in front of the camera which makes me really awkward. Sophie really helped bring out the natural side of me during my maternity photo session with my husband and our 2-year-old labradoodle. Sophie is also very responsive to any questions you may have leading up to the photo session. I sent her photos of what I was thinking of wearing on the day, and she provided some really practical and useful information as well which helped a lot for planning. She was at the location in advance to source out some beautiful spots - she found the perfect location that was right for the weather and amount of light. It was actually pretty overcast on the day, so I was really impressed and surprised at the amount of light and colour she captured looking at the results. She lets you do your own thing - with a couple of suggestions for the best results - and then snaps away. This was the exact approach I was looking for and it turned out beautifully. I really appreciate her patience and creativity. I will definitely be going to her for family photo sessions in the future.
We love Sophie’s work. Something I really appreciate about Sophie is that she offered a variety of options for session time length and amount of photos you could keep. She recently did a photo shoot with our family and we had such a great experience from start to finish. Sophie helped us figure out a location and talked with us to figure out what we were hoping for with the photos. She very flexible and was super communicative when it seemed like we might need to reschedule. On the day of the shoot it was raining quite a bit but it let up some and Sophie was prepared with some props (an umbrella) and took some beautiful photos under the cover of trees. We just got our photos back and Sophie took so many gorgeous photos of our family. We love our photos and will definitely seek out a photo session with Sophie again.
Sophie made our experience fun and stress-free despite having three wild boys under age 5! She captured the best moments and took beautiful photos. She thought carefully about our family and what is important to us. She was also incredibly easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. Would highly recommend her to families of any size.
