5161 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square“I started at Elite to learn practical self-defense before traveling for a new job. What I didn’t expect was to pick up skills that could save my life from day 1, be welcomed by a team of some of the greatest men and women I have ever met, become stronger both physically and mentally, and discover a new version of myself. The training offered here is one of a kind! All instructors and students are dedicated. The facility is operated at a high standard for health and safety. Yet somehow maintains the most laid-back environment! No matter what your starting point or reason for coming, you will not regret training here.“

204 Baltimore Pike, Springfield“Delco MMA is a very friendly, welcoming gym that has phenomenal coaches and students. It is a great environment for people of all skill levels, ages, beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Whatever your goal may be, whether that’s getting in shape, learning to defend yourself, or just get active and meet new people, this is the place to be. It makes it a fun, enjoyable process, compared to dreading going to your average workout gym. Before I started, I was a little nervous and uncertain as to what I was getting myself into. But after I took that first class, I was immediately hooked. Everyone in the gym is friendly and supportive of each other, and we all work together as a team to collectively reach individual goals. It not only opened the door for fitness goals, and self confidence, but I met some great friends along the way. Great gym, clean, well organized, and there is always the right people to help you get where you want to be. Whether that is any of the coaches, or the occasional pros coming out for class seminars, if you are looking to level not only your fitness up, but yourself, this is the place to do so!“

I can’t say enough great things about this karate institution! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a clear passion for martial arts. Master Kremin is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and motivating – he strikes the perfect balance between discipline and encouragement. If you’re looking for a place to learn authentic karate in a supportive and professional setting, this is it. Five stars all the way!“

300 E Madison Ave, Clifton Heights“Wonderful place to build your kid's focus and confidence! My teenager has been there for 3 years and he's a quiet kid but he loves sharing his new moves with me and his grandparents and it helps us engage with him at this age. It has built his confidence at school and walking around the city. Sensei is a great role model, professional and family focused. I highly recommend Karate Kickers with no question.“

625 S Chester Rd, Swarthmore“I evaluate and work with teachers for a living. While a classroom and a martial arts studio are different places, and obviously teach different content, the act of teaching and what makes an excellent teacher is universal. Master Celona is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered, inside or outside of a classroom. My two boys 12 and 10 have been attending Revolution Martial Arts for the majority of their lives. Kids go through a lot of phases, and most of the time they don’t stick with things; the number one reason they have stuck with martial arts is because of their respect and appreciation for Master Celona. He demonstrates and conveys respect and reverence for what he does while understanding that kids need to have fun too. Attending RMAI has been and will continue to be a place where my sons can strengthen mind, body, and spirit and gain real confidence and strengthen their understanding of honor and respect. Easily one of the best decisions we have ever made was enrolling them at RMAI with Master Celona.“

Mr Nackord and all of the Instructors at Nackord Karate genuinely love to teach Karate and give each student individual treatment. From the very beginning I felt like I was part of the Nackord family. The school has a great sense of comradarie, which mirrors Mr. Nackord’s appreciation for his students. If you or someone you know is looking for a great Karate school or has been hesitant to go to a Karate school, please give this school a try. You will be glad you did.“

1980 Butler Pike, Conshohocken“We transferred to Action Karate Plymouth Meeting when we moved from out of state. They are a family run dojo and did an amazing job of acclimating our student and allowed him to utilize the belt level he was currently at to start.
We love that all of their katas are taught in practical terms of self defense. They also discuss value lessons weekly, where they go over characteristics of leadership, gratitude, goal setting, (we especially love that students are required to set goals so they can see progress). After a year here, our son is also now learning how to become a sensi (teach).
They also host some really fun parties: like water wars to celebrate the end of summer, glow in the dark board breaking, etc. They also have get-togethers for the adults. And they have summer camps and parents’ night outs. So everyone really gets a chance to get to know each other.
I cannot thank them enough for how they are helping our son to grow as a person and how welcome we always feel. They feel like part of our family.“

We trained together for three years and tested the same day for our black belt. It was very special. During that time my daughter wanted to try it as well as my wife. I trained with them as they tested for their Black belt, I tested for my second degree. This is a wonderful place for individuals as well as the family. I continue to work out at Iron Circle and plan to be there for a long time.“

Unfortunately, we are moving out of state, otherwise this would have been a long term commitment. The focus on respect, discipline, and teamwork is beyond compare. Amazed at the patience the team has and how beautifully everything is executed. We will miss them dearly and thank them for the confidence we see in our son since joining!“

“I really enjoy learning about B.J.J. and Muay Thai at onyx gym. I have been going there for a couple of years practicing Muay Thai and I just started with B.J.J. Zach is not only a great instructor but a really great person as well. He is very patience and professional when it comes to teaching new students. It is a very welcoming atmosphere. All of his other instructors are also just as good as well. I am so glad that I incorporated these new workouts into my daily routine. Shout out to Rick (instructor) and the more experienced (black, brown and purple) students there as well, they are all very knowledgeable and are great teachers as well.
I highly recommend trying this gym out if you want to take your workouts to another level.“
