“Elmer Sudds was in need of new roof. Ed Gilroy came recomended from my father who has been in construction throughout the Wyoming valley Forever. Also recomended by Willy Norton who knows everybody. Ive known Ed since High School. I felt i was in good hands. Ive been living at Sudds for 19 years. The old roof had been repaired a number of times over the years through different owners. Nothing fixed the scupper drain problem that was getting clogged and backing up. Its been a real pain. Once the oppressive summer heat subsided the job was started on 8/27/2025 at 6 am. They removed the old Rubber Roof and began a new Rubber Roof on the first day. 2 12hour days and the job was wrapped up. The job was put to the test only a couple times so far since August. No issues with the new scupper drain and no leaks detected. I climbed onto the roof today to see the job. It looks good and all vent pipes had rubber boots installed, all corners and overlaps are sealed well. On top of a good job he hasn't hassled me for payment. Ed wanted me to say I was satisfied before payment. So i can say now after today seeing the work I am satisfied and recomend Gilroy Construction. John @Elmer Sudds“
