Lords Valley Builders

“Building a custom home has been a dream for us, and thanks to Glenn Strys and Lords Valley Builders, that dream is now taking shape with care, quality, and attention to detail.

Before choosing Glenn, we interviewed six different builders across the Poconos. From our very first meeting, he stood out as the most trustworthy, experienced, and genuinely friendly builder we met. His professionalism and down-to-earth nature put us at ease — and throughout the project, he has exceeded every expectation.

Glenn is a true custom builder in every sense of the word. Unlike many companies that advertise customization but steer clients toward rigid templates, Glenn took the time to tailor every aspect of our home to our vision. His detailed planning process made it easy to visualize each decision, and he was incredibly patient as we asked questions, revisited ideas, and occasionally changed our minds. No matter how particular or indecisive we were, Glenn remained flexible, understanding, and solution-oriented — always helping us find the perfect outcome.

He also went above and beyond in helping us select the right piece of land — a process we couldn’t have navigated nearly as smoothly without his local knowledge and guidance. From land selection to design decisions and material choices, Glenn offered expert advice while ensuring we always felt empowered to create the home we truly wanted.

Now in the final stages of construction, everything thus far has been outstanding. We’re fully confident in Glenn and his team’s ability to deliver an exceptional finished home.

The quality of the craftsmanship is top-notch. Our independent pre-drywall inspection found only a few minor items — a testament to the pride and care Glenn and his crew bring to their work. From the beautiful stonework on the fireplace to the precision of the trim and finishes, it’s clear that Lords Valley Builders builds every home as if it were their own.

Communication has been consistently good. Glenn was responsive to emails — even on weekends — which made the entire process far less stressful than we ever imagined a new build could be.

If you're looking for a builder who will not only construct a house but help you build your dream — someone who is flexible, patient, highly skilled, trustworthy, and truly committed to getting every detail right — we could not recommend Glenn Strys and Lords Valley Builders more highly.

Working with Glenn has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We would absolutely choose him again without hesitation.”

Clemleddy Construction

“Our experience with Clemleddy Construction began in the summer of 2024. We began to interview general contractors to build an addition onto our existing home in Hawley PA. Ryan Smyth became our contact and eventual project manager after being recommended by our next door neighbors. They had used Clemleddy the year before for an extensive interior and exterior home remodeling project. I had asked my neighbors whether they were happy with Clemleddy during and at the conclusion of the project. They gave a resoundingly positive response. I will say up front that for our project, from pre-construction all the way to now 3 months after completion, Ryan and his team have fully lived up to that glowing recommendation, and then some!

While Clemleddy provides in-house architectural services, we choose to design our addition with an independent architect. Ryan reviewed these plans, provided his comments which we often accepted, and then produced a clearly understandable contract with details, specifications, finishes and an estimated time schedule. Their in-house interior designer, Karen Broschart, provided her insight as we chose fixtures, tile, granite, paint colors, etc. She also pointed out and made some interior architectural changes which only enhanced the project. Ryan personally designed the construction and installation of our curb-less shower. The shower was to be built over the existing basement which had a previously installed heating system now situated directly under the proposed new shower. Space was very limited!

As the new exterior siding was being installed on the existing house, a problem was discovered with the way the original deck was attached to the house. Needless to say the correction of this problem was outside the scope of our contract. Ryan met with us personally, fully explained the situation in terms we could easily understand and proposed a fair an equitable solution. Ryan is a good problem solver. He always had our best interests at heart; with respect to design, materials, construction, and especially cost.

Which brings me to my final point: communication. My primary residence is in the Philadelphia suburbs and 99% of the construction took place without a homeowner onsite. Ryan, a friendly, courteous and personable individual, made this project a pleasure by texting and calling me on a regular basis. If ever I had a question or issue with something I saw in daily construction pictures, Ryan answered my calls and texts almost immediately. Communication is key to the success of these projects and Ryan and his team nailed it.

Living in the new addition for the past 3 months has been wonderful. Everyday we appreciate their expertise and attention to details. In the past 30 years I have built several commercial and residential budlings in the Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. I would rank this project with Clemleddy Construction, the process and the finished product, among the best that I experienced. I would recommend Clemleddy Construction without any hesitation.”
