CARED about….this is my feeling after speaking to Alex this morning. At 67 years old getting diagnosed just a day ago w/anxiety/panic disorder. I found myself in the middle of such an attack when thinking about my massage appt later today.
I’m a veteran client of this wonderful service but felt debilitated at the thought of being in a closed dimly lit small room ! Policy states 24 hour notice for cancellations. I’m thinking they must have capabilities to waive such when a circumstance as I presented arises.
I’ll move on thru my day feeling better knowing I have the opportunity to reschedule this massage once my prescribed medication takes effect.
Most establishments could easily have emphasized w/me BUT still practice their written policies.
This location chose to emphasize and act !
Their genuine act of care/concern shines through.

Used to love coming here, until my massage therapist stopped working here. I’ve been paying for the membership for over a year, and they can’t seem to not cancel every appointment I schedule these last 4 months. So I keep making these monthly payments, and not getting service in return. Or I’ll have an appointment scheduled and they cancel it days prior. I’m just going to start going to the Camp Hill location.. So disappointed because this location is only 10 minutes from my house.

I received a 3-month pass to Hand and Stone Massage as a Valentine’s Day gift, and my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. It’s been a series of issues from the start, and I can confidently say I will never return.

First, when I tried to schedule my first massage, the soonest appointment I could get was nearly a month out. I finally secured one for March 11th, only to have it cancelled last minute because the employee assigned to me had to leave early that day. After waiting almost a month for this, I still didn't get the service. The next available appointment was days later, but unfortunately, I was working and couldn’t take it. This wasn’t the first time I’ve encountered issues either—back in October, I received a birthday gift card, scheduled and confirmed my appointment via email and text, and when I arrived, they had no record of it. I had to show the front desk my confirmation just to prove it.

As a registered nurse who spends most of her day on her feet, bending, lifting, and walking, I look forward to these moments to take care of my body. But Hand and Stone has made it impossible to do so. I’ve called multiple times requesting a refund, as I no longer want the pass or any services. I contacted the manager a week ago, but when she returned my call, I was working. I tried to call her back, left a message, and even sent an email—and have received no response. Today, I thought maybe I could finally schedule something and get this over with, but the first available appointment was April 24th. The employee even suggested I drive 45 minutes to their Lancaster location, which is utterly ridiculous. When I asked to speak to the manager again, I was told she was in a meeting and it would be 1-2 days before I heard back.

This company has been incredibly inconvenient and unprofessional. I’ve been to other massage spas in the area, like Elements, Riah Spa, and Inertia, and none of them require booking a month in advance, nor have I ever experienced such poor customer service. At this point, I just want a refund and will never waste my time with Hand and Stone again.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Everytime I’ve went it was the worst massage ever.! Facials were actually good. My face definitely broke out after many of them they dont specialize on African American skin. Suggested me to use sunscreen I’ve never done that in my life.

The worst part as to what made me make this review is I paid 3 months for a membership and any time I came to try to book them they were never available so now I cancelled and no one told me there was a time frame that I can use the services which does not make any sense I paid them for 3 months I should be getting 3 services ! ITS MY BIRTHDAY AND IM VERY PISSED OFF! Over 200.00 they took from me and didn’t even call to tell me that these things would be expired. I’m going to BBB and I’m done dealing with this establishment. Don’t come here you will regret it .!

Not my first time here but was the time I really needed a deep tissue massage. My masseuse Ali kept dozing off. Literally her hands kept stopping. When I left I asked for a manager to call me. Hours later after not hearing anything I had to call. I think her not actually making an effort to call and talk about what happened is what made me more angry. The whole situation made me feel super uncomfortable. I kept looking at the clock because I wanted it just to be over. I wasn't charged but 100% needed a good deep tissue massage and was super happy when they had an opening to fit my schedule.

Showed up for my appointment and the staff person said he didn't feel like giving a massage today. Thanks for wasting my time.
