“I had my first visit to Redfern Canines and it could not have been better. I attended the two hour introduction lead by owner Betsy. No dogs are allowed at the introduction to eliminate distractions. The introduction was very informative, professional and very relaxing. Betsy truly knows dogs, is a very good communicator, patient and a truly nice and caring person. I have had six Golden Retrievers over the years and have attended many different training programs. None of these programs gave me such a positive impression from the start.
Admittedly I have not gone through the puppy/beginner class so I will update my review after completing the class. I can’t imagine the class will be anything but 5 Stars.
One hint for someone considering Redfern is to volunteer for the one group exercise. I can attest that the volunteers will learn a lot. The other people in the small group will be watching you and you may feel a bit awkward but have fun with it because it is fun interacting with Betsy as she trains you. You’ll have fun and learn what it’s like for a dog to be in training. It’s a very clever exercise.“
