Positives: The electrician came when he said he would, was professional, and fixed the problem which turned out to be a very simple one of me using non-dimmable bulbs in a fixture with a dimmer switch. Negative: When I called to make the appointment, I asked if there was a service fee to come out and take a look. The person on the phone told me there was no service fee and that the electrician would give me a price once they get here, before they fix the problem. What actually happened was they put in the new bulbs and then told me that the minimum fee was $195.00, which honestly is waaaay overpriced for simply putting in a couple new bulbs. If they had told me on the phone that there was a minimum fee no matter what they fix and that the fee is $195.00, I would have shopped around for a more reasonable price. I feel I was misled by the person who made the appointment. So just bear in mind that if they do anything at all besides just give you an estimate, the fee will be $195.00 minimum no matter what.

Update (two days later). Justin from King Electric called me after seeing my Google review and let me know that the electrician did not follow the proper procedure because he did the work first and then told me the fee after the fact. He was happy to refund a substantial amount of what I paid, and he shared that the electrician has been retrained on the proper procedure. So I updated my review to four stars. I appreciate that King was willing to work with me, and I will now consider using them again for future electricity needs. (They didn't ask me to update the review. I just thought it was the right thing to do).“

“I called on Friday to ask for an outside plug to be repaired. His team came out on the weekend (at no extra charge) to fix it. He was responsive, fast, and reliable.Service: Outdoor lighting installation“

“We had lost power for 2 days due to a storm and had to have our wires reattached to our house. After booking an appointment with another contractor who called 8 hours after the scheduled appointment time and arrogantly said his rates just tripled due to high demand, we told him no thanks and decided to try someone else. Luckily I called Sargent Electric at 8:00 the next morning and after explaining our situation was told that even though they were booked solid for the week they would see what they could do. Within two hours they had someone come to our house and by noon the repair was completed at 15% of the price we had been quoted by the other contractor. The two electricians from Sargent were courteous and efficient and explained what they were doing and patiently answered our questions. They even called the next day to see if the electric company turned our power back on yet.
