Original review:<br>Positives: The electrician came when he said he would, was professional, and fixed the problem which turned out to be a very simple one of me using non-dimmable bulbs in a fixture with a dimmer switch. Negative: When I called to make the appointment, I asked if there was a service fee to come out and take a look. The person on the phone told me there was no service fee and that the electrician would give me a price once they get here, before they fix the problem. What actually happened was they put in the new bulbs and then told me that the minimum fee was $195.00, which honestly is waaaay overpriced for simply putting in a couple new bulbs. If they had told me on the phone that there was a minimum fee no matter what they fix and that the fee is $195.00, I would have shopped around for a more reasonable price. I feel I was misled by the person who made the appointment. So just bear in mind that if they do anything at all besides just give you an estimate, the fee will be $195.00 minimum no matter what.<br><br>Update (two days later). Justin from King Electric called me after seeing my Google review and let me know that the electrician did not follow the proper procedure because he did the work first and then told me the fee after the fact. He was happy to refund a substantial amount of what I paid, and he shared that the electrician has been retrained on the proper procedure. So I updated my review to four stars. I appreciate that King was willing to work with me, and I will now consider using them again for future electricity needs. (They didn't ask me to update the review. I just thought it was the right thing to do).”

He has all the specialized equipment to see the thermal imaging of the wiring under the tile and testing of the cable to confirm it was not compromised. Bob can make a diagnosis over the phone when I describe a sound; and when an unusual event has occurred (such as a hiccup with ignition for a power failure that immediately follows one that lasted continuously for most of a week), he gives precise instructions over the phone to solve the issue, much like the control tower helping a passenger to land a plane after the pilot has become ill. Joe, who always has arrived on time over the past 7 years for thorough annual generator maintenance, upkeep (replacing a battery or spark plugs at specific intervals, servicing valves after prolonged use, etc.) also is a wizard and answers all questions with responses that I am able to grasp.
