“David Wickes has done many projects, large and small, around our house. Like many homes in the area, age has caused everything in our house, including floors, walls, and door openings, to go slightly off-kilter. David is always keenly aware of the special issues that an older home presents when repairs or renovations are involved. He replaced our ugly, drafty, metal front door with a beautiful triple pane glass and wood door; he patiently figured out how to hang the new door properly in our slanted door opening. He also replaced a slipshod folding closet door that had been installed during an earlier renovation with a set of bespoke solid wood doors. David seems to take great joy in tracking down the perfect crystal doorknob or time-period appropriate moulding to make our house look its best. (He is also good at reparing damage inflicted on that beautiful moulding by exuberant puppies). I highly recommend David!“

“We had the privilege of having this company come to our home. We contacted, them the Monday after Easter as we had a shower leak, shower had no shut off. Within a half an hour they came out to access the job. We found Joe very responsive, quite knowledgeable ; he was very polite and took the time to answer any questions. The next morning, he arrived very promptly! His work is exceptional, he is very neat and quite thorough, explaining every step. He tried to fix the problem but our unit was old and beyond repair! He put in a new shower assembly. We can’t say enough, he is so efficient! His work ethic is admirable and will be using him from now on, for any type of repair needed! “We learned about Sweeney Plumbing & Heating at the recommendation of a friend and are so glad we did! What started out as a DIY attempt to exchange identical trim in our bathroom turned into a leak that was going unresolved leading up to a big birthday party we were hosting at our home. Kelly got in touch with us very quickly to schedule time for Tony to come out to assess and let us know what was needed. Just a few days later as soon as the right as the part arrived, Tony and his sons came right out to fix the problem (and over a month later, no issues at all), and at a very fair price.

The whole Sweeney family was professional, responsive, and kind. It’s clear they care about the work they do and the community they serve. “Hired John Neill to replace our historically registered front door and rebuild our basement bilco door. Ben the carpenter worked with us to provide drawings to submit to the historical society for approval. He then rebuilt our weather damaged bilco door and replaced our front door with a new custom build. The team then repainted and made everything look as
good as the historical “old”.

“Nick and his team are amazing! Nick himself does all the work. He came out to do the estimate, suggested a plan, and did all the work with the help of a couple guys. He was there every step of the way, no hiding behind subcontractors.

Nick and his guys replaced a severely damaged rim joist, a portion of damaged sill plate, and fixed several floor joists in the basement. They took care to make sure HVAC and other mechanical work was not damaged during the repairs. His work got rid of a noticeable dip and squeaking in the living room floor. In addition to that his guys also took care of some punch list items I needed done around the house.

His team was courteous, punctual, and most importantly knew what they were doing. Cant recommend Nick and his guys enough!!“

He was very fast to get to my property to provide an estimate and gave me a fair price. He came with two other guys and replaced two asphalt roofs, slate repairs, added caps to some peaks, waterproofed a bilco door, and cleaned gutters - all in about 5hrs! My wife and I recently bought a 95 year old home and were a bit overwhelmed by the recommendations listed on the inspection report.
