Absolutely Amazing courses but what makes this place great is the staff, from the girls behind the counter, grounds crew and starters and marshals the people make this course what it is. Some of the friendliest most accommodating people I’ve ever encountered and definitely at a golf course. My brother and I drove from Ohio a day early to the US open to play both courses but were way earlier than expected not only did they get us off on the woodside early so we weren’t waiting a few hours they found a break in the tee sheet to let us off on the lakeside early too! The staff at Butler’s Golf Course was absolutely wonderful for our 2nd annual Provins-Hummel Memorial Outing two weeks ago. From the GM and starters to the catering team and sales director, everyone was extremely accommodating, helpful, and easy to work with - THE ENTIRE TEAM! They went above and beyond in making sure our event went smoothly, just like they did for our first outing. We also appreciated their help in advertising on their social media. Everything was ready when we arrived. The food was also fantastic! We’re already looking forward to hosting our event there again in 2026! Thank you, Butler’s!
Don’t play here on the weekend between 9:30am- 3pm if you want to be done within 4.5 hours. Guarantee 5.5 hour round if you’re in that time slot. Course is so busy and there’s no range to move along pace of play.
Course is average at best. Also, a bit burnt out in a lot of areas.
