Brownies Oil Co/Harned Oil Co, part of The 21st Century Energy Group, is a locally owned and operated business with over 50 years of experience. They provide home heating oil, propane, gasoline, diesel, lubes, and batteries to Mercer, Crawford, Venango, and Erie counties in PA. While some customers have faced delays in oil delivery, with one reporting an 11-day wait, others appreciate the service and convenience of scheduled tank checks and refills. The ordering process can be confusing, but customers have found that their specific requests, like avoiding overfilling, are honored. Additionally, the prepay option is popular, although some customers wish for a veterans discount. Overall, the company is recognized for its commitment to service and customer satisfaction.
I order our oil on Brownies Oil website where it says 3 to 5 business days for oil to be delivered. I had to call after 7 business days to find out when it was being delivered. When I called that Thursday they told me it would be here on Friday. Friday came and went and still no oil. I called back again on the following Monday and was told it would be delivered on Wednesday. In the end it took 11 business days before our oil was delivered.
We are extremely happy with the many years of service we have received. The only thing I would ask to be added is somehow have the discount for early payment showing when you pay using the website.
The website was confusing when I ordered oil. I wanted the tank filled but it wasn't empty and the order form looked like a new tank fill. Anyhow I requested that the tank not be overfilled like last time - who knows how many gallons are left? Apparently my request was honored, the tank was filled without spillage and I'm happy. Thanks.
