I went here 3 times so far for my last 3 cuts and the 3rd time my guy wasn't there so I made an appointment with another guy and was debating if I should take the risk and I'm glad I did. “Due to a bit of a hair emergency (lightening situation gone awry) I needed a last minute appointment for a pretty significant chop. Thankfully I found Hair Cuttery right down the road from me. Melissa had early morning appointments (helpful for me because I have a newborn) so I booked my appointment and made my way in as quickly as I could. Melissa was wonderful, didn’t judge me for the damage I’d done to my hair (which I was grateful for because I was already embarrassed as someone who’s dyed and bleached their own hair for over a decade and NEVER had this happen before), and was very gentle with my hair as she silently washed, cut and styled it. She did an excellent job. I came in prepared to just accept a cut and let it grow and left with a cut I adore and a huge weight off of my shoulders before my interview for nursing school tomorrow. Thank you Melissa! I’ll gladly return here for my hair upkeep needs.

“I took 2 of my boys to One Cut Above which according to my kids its "THE COOL PLACE" that most teens go to get their haircut. When I called for an appt and pricing they were very accommodating when I called by providing me a same day appt on that day for both of my boys. We went on a Friday at 4pm, super busy as expected for a Friday, it was definitely a fun vibe! I think the barber we had was newer to cutting hair because it did take him over 1 hour to cut but he was very kind and had patience with my boys and I appreciated him taking his time and also having the owner help him was awesome and much appreciated. I feel it was definitely priced too high for a beginner stylist, 2 boys, 10y w/short straight hair $45 and 12y old w/curly short hair $45 + a nice tip on top of that. The cuts were not what we asked for which was a shape up + trim dead ends. Its not the money I have a problem with because Im happy to pay as long as what Im getting what we expected to get. In our case we don't feel it was worth it. If we got a stylist that got done each one in a reasonable amount of time and provided the shape up + trimmed hair we wanted then its worth every penny for sure!! I know that the stylist is learning and he will be just as amazing and talented as all the rest of the crew because he really was so genuine, kind and you can tell he loves what he does.“
