I recently started going to the Ardmore Life Time fitness center. It is conveniently located in Suburban Square. There is a large parking garage directly across the way. That lot can get crowded after around 9:30AM, but there are always spots. Gym memberships are pricey, but you get what you pay for. The place is super clean. No matter when I am there, I see staff doing cleaning.
The locker rooms are spacious and have some complementary cosmetics. There is a sauna, steam room and hot tub down there. They also have a spa and a kids day care. The gym floor is very, very large. I have been a member here for 3 years. It's become my home away from home in the sense that I spend time here regularly. It's a wonderful community around the project of fitness and well-being.
they keep disappearing my favorite instructors!!
whenever i decide i love someone's class (those classes get really popular/have waitlists, so it's not just me), that person is let go. Amy vanished from yoga months ago, Kevin hasn't been at spin in weeks, ... i'm afraid to enjoy a specific instructor's class because they keep being snatched away. these are people who seem to love their jobs and have been there for years. they didn't give their classes any warning that they were leaving, so it has to be a corporate thing.
