I’ve been a member at this Ambler Y for about 5 years. I was a member at the old version on Bethlehem Pike before they moved.
The facility is well maintained. While staff are always visible cleaning the equipment on an ongoing basis, the Y annually shuts down different parts for a more thorough cleaning and repairs.
The staff is friendly. From the maintenance people, to the front desk, to working through the need to transition my paid membership to one that is underwritten by my Medicare Supplemental plan. Always kind. Helpful.

Great gym, lots of equipment, super clean, locker rooms are always clean, staff is super friendly & helpful. Way too strict on their guest policy. Pay $75 a month for a membership - you can only bring a guest M-F 5am-4pm & Sat/Sun 7am-12pm… not friendly hours for people who work & you also can’t bring the same guest more than 3 times a year.. I understand not wanting to overcrowd the gym with too many guests but this rule is too strict imo for a $75 membership. Courts are first come first serve - but theres always the same groups of men taking over the courts which doesn’t allow space or time for others who want to play/use the court. I really enjoy going to the Ambler Y. The land and water classes are very good. My only concern is that there is not enough room in the women’s locker room when there are 2 water aerobic classes going on at the same time. The place is so clean and the desk staff is very friendly and helpful.
