“Dear Frank, I can’t reply directly to your review, but I truly appreciate the five stars. I’m actually the “angry woman” you mentioned—I was being very sarcastic. I showed James a photo of what I thought I wanted, and while he delivered exactly that, I ended up not liking it. He fixed it right away—no issues, no damage. I just wanted to share this here in hopes you see it someday.

If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about their clients and takes pride in their work, James is your guy! I recently took my kids to him for haircuts, and I was blown away by how patient and kind he was. My two sons absolutely hate getting their hair cut, but James worked his magic and made them feel completely at ease. Their haircuts turned out great—clean, stylish, and exactly what we wanted.

He also gave my daughter a gorgeous layered haircut that we both couldn’t stop admiring. You can tell James genuinely loves what he does and puts so much care into every detail.

The salon is easy to get to in Altoona, even if you’re coming from Hollidaysburg, Tyrone, Bellwood, or Duncansville. It’s definitely worth the drive.

“The waiting time is very short, even on busy days. If you schedule in appointment, you're almost always called back within 3 minutes of the scheduled time. I've been getting my hair done here for years, all staff is very friendly and knows what their doing. Jen has always done my hair, and she is brilliant. She's able to do almost anything you ask and do it the exact way you want it. She's also very friendly and you can tell she enjoys her job.
