I had an L4-5 Fusion procedure May 2024. Instant relief from previous debilitating sciatic pain in butt and down legs. Following guidelines for limited post surgery activity and physical therapy over last summer, I have been able to fully recover to chase the Oregon Duck's band around Autzen stadium last fall and regain my skiing form over this past winter season including consecutive long days exploring some of the biggest resorts in the Italian and Austrian Alps. A year after surgery I feel no surgery related pain or stiffness and with full confidence to resume the physical activities I have enjoyed prior to the surgery.

Dr Ching is very nice, but 2 years after my big spine fusion at age 65 for severe scoliosis, I am still in a lot of pain. My scoliosis was not corrected even a little bit. I should have known this was wrong. He says he can't help me and don't need to come back. I have no life. So I am regretting my decision to have him do the surgery. He said he would refer me to a neurologist, but I never got any referral. My PCP tried, but couldn't reach him either. So I am left finding another Dr who will at least try to help.

At four years out from my surgery from Dr Tatsumi, I am pain free and able to row, bike, swim and participate fully in all my family and volunteer activities. I know this is a result of Dr Tatsumi’s expertise supported by a talented team.
